Anybody have a knife that resides only in their vehicle?

i'v got a cheap dive knife strapped to the roll bar to the left of the drivers seat. it hides in plain sight under the seat belt so it's always on hand.

All of our vehicles have a Leatherman in the consoles or tank bags. The RV has a HI khukri and Becker BK3 in the storage bin.

I keep this old Goddard Lightweight in the cargo net of my 350 Z, along with a small Mini-Maglite and a SAK Classic in the nav-compartment.

Leatherman folder and Blast, gerber seatbelt cutter, diamond sharping stone, Headlamp, Fenix L1T, Hand crank light, folding shovel, small shoulder bag (first aid, candle, paracord, gatorade powder packs, 2 liters of water, lighter, firestarter and tinder, stainless nalgene, wool socks, fleece jacket, boonie hat, compass, and some other crap I'm probably forgetting).

Nothing, yet can't drive :( but in a few months planning on getting a Maxpedition jumbo versipack and keeping a Ka-bar 7" fighter in it along with a car BOB of course.

Well, it looks like more than one person here answered in the affirmative. No surprise there. I have a few knives in my car and truck. The ones in the truck get used regularly for construction work. The car knife is in case I forget or lose my pocket knife. I also carry flashlights, space blanket, drinking water, and other tools in both vehicles. It all gets used fairly often except for the car knife and the space blankets, which are for emergencies.

I have an entire kit in the trunk but up front I have a Cold Steel Lawman. Only Cold Steel knife I have but it is a solid truck knife. ESEE in the trunk with ZT 0500

Spyderco Pacific Salt. living near the ocean. It seems practical to have something that wont ever rust.

Besides an emergency kit in every vehicle there's one knife in each also...

- Victorinox one-handed Trekker
- Buck 110
- Gerber Multi-tool

a crkt desert cruiser in drivers door pocket
swiss army spirit in console
mora behind drivers seat
buck camp axe wrapped in paracord in tool box
this is all not counting what I'm carrying at any given time and there's other blades in there in hunting season

Not anymore. Several years ago, I used to keep an original Leatherman Wave in the glove compartment of my older car (I've since gotten a new car), and someone broke into it and stole it. It was, apparently, the only thing they found worth taking.

I always carry knives and/or a MT on my person, so I don't leave any in my car.

Jim
