A* truck knife? <Chuckle>
I have a four-foot long by 18" x 18" (roughly) "truck box" in the back of our "truck" (SUV). In the box is a variety of "stay alive while waiting for help" stuff. Among the "stuff" is a motley collection of knives and other cutting tools.
There's an Estwing camp axe. There's an Ontario SP8 (short) survival machete -- one of these . . .
. . . and a couple of Rapala bait knives (based on the Mora Scandi knives, but with a serration on the spine for cutting frozen bait), a mediocre Elk Ridge fixed blade (need to replace with a Mora) and an Opinel #12.
In the truck console there is the following selection: a Buck/Whittaker Short Revolution, a Kershaw 3140 folder, a Case Sod Buster Jr, a Case Blackhorn, a Rapala folding fillet knife (by EKA of Sweden), a Mora Craftline fixed blade, and a compact diamond steel. And a
Light My Fire spork, or maybe two. Oh, and in the glove box there's a Wenger Evo S10 SAK.
The truck box becomes a fixture in whichever vehicle is my daily driver.
If I'm driving the Jeep, there's a Mora #511 fixed blade and an EKA Super Swede folder.
All those knives above are dedicated vehicle knives.
If I'm planning a trip, I have a tool box that contains what I call my "portable kitchen," which is a collection of utensils, can openers, a multitool, kitchen knives, picnic knives, hobo knives, a couple of Mora knives, Rapala (EKA) folding fillet knife, cutting board, a Gerber Harsey Hunter, that's this one . . .
. . . and a bunch of other things: collapsible stainless drinking cups, stuff for making fire, camp soap, blah, blah, blah. The
portable kitchen has been through a couple of revisions. It used to have more knives. As it's been used on various trips, I keep track of what actually gets used and what's not there when I need it. A few refinements later and it's actually useful now.

The cutlery in that box isn't dedicated to any one vehicle, it's expressly dedicated to trips of any distance requiring more than four or five hours behind the wheel.
Oh, and I have a jacket that has its own knife. A yellow Case Sod Buster Jr in CV rides in the right-hand pocket. Always. Even when the jacket is put up for the summer.
I have other "dedicated" knives, but they don't travel. Topic for another day. -
