Anybody have experience with BM backorder?

It seems like most of the knives BM makes are on backorder these days, including two I ordered. Anybody have any experience with how long this normally takes? The BM website says 1-2 weeks, and sometimes 6 weeks, but I don't know how much stock to put in that because I think the 710 has been on backorder for months (and my order for 2.5 weeks).
 
the knives are usually made in batches. youll just have to wait until they make some new ones or you can find one that's in stock from a different dealer.
 
Did you order directly from BM? You should have no problem finding a dealer with a 710 in stock.

No, I ordered through a local dealer. I actually didn't order a 710, but a 51 and a 440, the 710 is just an example of why I don't trust the up to 6 weeks they say on their website.
 
You should really forget that dealer and order online. Current production Benchmades are a dime a dozen and online prices are usually MUCH better. Email me if you need some leads on good online dealers.

I think I know the 2 online dealers with the best BM prices, but my local dealer gives me pretty good price and I like to buy local.
