Kind of a cool looking little knife. Not to sure about the blade at first but it's growing on me. :) Would like to see some real actual photos of it next to some other GEC's.

I haven't ordered that exact knife, but I would if I didn't recently find a 2531XX(EO)-- my GEC #25 with the same sheepsfoot main (plus shield, blade etch, cap end, and easy-open cutout):

Here it is (top knife) with a #25 barlow and two #15s:

With a Sawyer Barlow only:

I really like the stripped-down aesthetics of this new, bare-headed all-steel release with its absence of shield and blade etch.

I believe I could "settle" for your 25, Sarah.

Yes, it wooed me all over again as I was looking through pictures to find the above. ;)

I call Duane's/Sitflyer's knife like this "The Culprit," because it was his pictures of the same that first pushed me head-over-heels down the #25 well.

Okay, I jumped.

That's a really nice one. I'd have bought that one instead as well.

Yes, grabbed one in ebony. Sorry, no pics yet. Ill try and get some tomorrow.

I'd really like to see a shot of how thick it is. If it wouldn't fit it my change pocket I don't think I'd be interested in it. I think the Pemberton is the knife for me. I need to quit messing around and just order one but I keep coming across other deals that i can't pass up. :)

I'm carrying mine in the change pocket of my jeans. Not as thin or slim as the Pemberton. It did however kick that one out of my pocket.

Of the three pictured the Half Whittler is the thinnest followed by the 25.

Full disclosure, I'm really fond of this pattern. I like small Barlows and have a few of those 25's as well. This is my first single blade 25. It's lighter and thinner than it's Barlow cousins. Compared to the Pemberton it's more robust and fills the hand a bit more.

I'm trying to like it, but it just doesn't do anything for me -and I'm a sucker for wharnies & sheepsfoots.

Perhaps if it was widened into an Elephant Toe...

Got an earlier Tidioute Barehead in Burnt Orange Bone EZ-Open. Very similar knife to the latest issue so that's why I can't justify getting it...Cash strapped too.

However, it's a really useful small knife, I like the Sheepfoot and it carries very nicely indeed. Therefore I can certainly recommend this pattern for those who don't have or crave further 25s. I could be interested in the Rust Red Bone version for sure but I'm waiting for the Tidioute Eureka pro-tem.

Thanks, Will

Thank you for the pictures and your review. Very nice dark ebony on the one you got. I'm liking it more and more every time I look at it.

The Ebony version seems to have quite a thick blade relative to its size. Checking the Tidioute Sheepfot I have I notice it's thinner due to having a long swedge/swage on it. I'd forgotten this aspect.

Sure thing, my pleasure. The pics are deceiving. It actually has quite a bit of chocolate brown streaking in the wood. If the lighting was better you would easily see it.

I'm not sure which two knives/blades you're drawing the distinction between...?

Could you please try again? I'd like to understand. Thanks!

Er, yes. The Ebony Little Jack as pictured by Brian appears to have quite a thick spine. The Tidioute EZ-Open I own has a slimmer spine due to the long swedge.

Regards, Will

Ah, got it-- thanks! As both the new iterations of this knife are Tidioutes and do have somewhat of a swedge-ling there at the tip, I was confused.
