Anybody prefer canvas to G10?

I'm thinking I do. my new ASH2 has G-10 but i like the canvas on my battle mistress. maybe it's just familiar and the G-10 will grow in time.
 
For my uses, I prefer canvas also.

For looks, I like the multi-colored plies of G10.

The only knocks I could think about canvas would be it would maybe retain a bit more chemicals, bacteria, undesirable moisture and such than would the G10.

Canvas Micarta is a bit more flexible, but that's a non-issue on full tang knives, like most Busses & Kin are.
 
I prefer micarta to G10 on almost all knives. The G10 on my Argonne attack isn't bad i just prefer the feel of micarta and it has more grip when wet.
 
Linen would be my first choice for micarta followed by the canvas (bring back the old green please)
 
Micarta is grippier and doesn't get hot or cold like G10 can in extreme environments.

G10 can look cheesy sometimes. And micarta feels so much better in hand. I prefer micarta for looks and feel.
 
I will echo the above. G10 for looks, micarta for superior handling.
 
Never bought or even handled G10, fell in love with canvas while handling my first RMD.
 
Micarta, hands down for knives, 1911's and other things....
 
I've always loved the look and feel of G10 better. I will admit micarta is a better grip when it is wet.
 
G10 all day every day-Only in a large and Heavy Chopper (Huck FIN for example) does Micarta IMHO have an advantage (weight) !!

I prefer canvas or linen micarta. It's grippier, and, especially on things with big handles like a Swamp Rat Waki, noticeably lighter in weight. Still, some of those G10 combos are really pretty.
 
Smooth canvas, ideally black but tigerhide is OK. I've passed on otherwise perfect blades because they're G10 and rehandling isn't worth the trouble.
 
I like the look of G10 better. I like the feel and function of canvas micarta.

Since i dont buy knives to just look at, i shoot for canvas.
