Anyone anticipating a non-LE SAR-4?

I sure hope so because with the current economy situation it's too much especially when out of the US. This thing wont be below 650$ CAD with shipping/duties.

Not to mention, but the LE's are fetching only slightly more on the secondary market than the CG's.

Definitely not the $150-$200 more than the CG price. It seems that if there is a chance you will resell at some point, the CG is now the better investment.
 
There was a pictured leaked/posted that was quickly removed d/t it being lifted from private photo account that appeared to be a satin SAR4 with Black G-10.... I saw it and then it was gone. So I am holding out.


I want an OJ SAR4!!! To go with my OJ Warden!!! (My dream knife would be an OJ Sabre SFNO.)
 
The design on these is wicked.. I wouldn't be surprised if Jerry does a BAD on these and releases a few different combos

Sure looks like this first run is all LE's. Hopefully if they sell well , the Boss will make others in CG's. I'm sure , as of right now, the Busse Shop is grinding away like maniacs, turning out all the HG-55's. However, when HG-55 sales start to peter out,,,,,,,the Sar-4 might be very profitable in the coated forms .Personally I only want the SAR4 LE ,,,,,, but as this thread states,,,,,,many want the CG's. The Boss ain't gonna give any money up when it's there for his asking!!!!!!!! ,,,, Then again , who knows which way the winds will blow tomorrow !!!!!
 
BTW,,,,,,,,,,,, the black G-10 SAR4 ,,,,,, was'nt a SAR4 ,,,,,,, was a ScrapYard offering,,,,,,,, but the blade said INFI on it. The pic was posted on the website with shavings covering the labeling. The stolen pic didn't have the blade labeling blocked out with the shavings.,,,, We will all just hafta wait an see...........

I was thinking the same thing, currently there is a SJ LE rotting on the exchange, at only $75.00 more than I saw a couple CG's go for (keep it! you know who you are).

I would be all over the Sar4 LE for 400.00, but I don't like the scalloping for the thumb, at all. Looks too tactical for my needs, and it stands out like a sore thumb IMO, pardon the pun. So I will wait and see if it comes out in CG, if not, ehh... more for the rest of you.:D

I really really hope that there is a CG version. I don't care about coated, but a dirty nasty comp version would really hit the spot. No polish, just a rough finish full convex grind!!!!! Just enough to knock the decarb off!!!!!! (if they don't I will). I just really really like that design, and I love a convex edge. I just can't think of anything i can spare at the moment to sell in the near future to cover the cost.

My only question about the thumb jimping is the fact that some one else posted that their Hg jimping was nasty sharp, and needed to be buffed, deburred to save the thumb. I can tell you, I have torn clear through the skin on my right thumb whittling (making a bunch of fuzz sticks for getting a fire going) with the black coating on the SS. I can't imagine what the jimping would do if the edges are not broken.

No such thing as stolen, if it made it to the interwebs, it's public, and fair game. Post that sucker!
 
unfortunately same here...
i use mine...so a le is just not for me...yet...lol
