TwoDogs,

Thank you kindly for the heartfelt comments. One very fine fellow member here in traditional gifted it to me some time back and I immediately put a rip-roaring hair pop'n edge on both of her fine carbon steel blades. It sits in my pocket quite frequently as one of my all time favorite EDC's!

Great pattern. :)

Like you, I know from personal experience there are some great folks here....kindness and friendship are certainly found here....great subforum! No pissin' matches here, just a love for the old ways and good coversation about fine old knives.

I just picked mine up at the PO....took the sharp corners of the bolsters off on my belt sander, then right into my pocket!

I got today my Case Texas Jack CV in mail. I love it. Its functional as peanut but better feeling in hand and a lot less rigid back srpings making opening blades easier for me. Lock up is solid, no blade play.

I've started patinazing it. I've used it today for food prepearing. I've already seeing some nice results. Tomorrow I probably buy an apple when I go in work and use lunch break for peeling and eating apple with my Texas Jack to get more natural patina.

Seems to me I've found now the knife for my new EDC. Feels good, is sharp, can be get mean sharp. Its excellent pattern.

Another reason to like the Small Texas Jack:
You can pinch open the large blade. No need to mess with the nail nick.
