Anyone drinking??

I think I'll get some trays for drinking ice and make it with better filtered water. Then I'll bag it to keep it in the freezer. Man why does high end drinking even need to get complicated:grumpy: :grumpy: .

Coffee in the morning, water during the day, wine and after dinner drinks thats the time to kick back & relax. However, if its fishing then its a cooler of beer on ice in the boat and fishing till its gone. Maybe tommorow, when the work is out of the way.

You see its like this...

Coffee in the morning so I can face my 180 students who are all jacked up on sugar and soda.
Coffee when I get home so I can keep up with my three Busse wielding kids and wife.
Coffee at night so I can stay awake to play with the INFI.

"TOO MUCH COFFEE MAN"!

Working on my first cup of Kona peaberry. Usually this stuff would be out of my price range got it as a gift. I usually get the Major Dickason's blend at Peet's.

Look on the bright side tykron. Coffee has zero calories.:p

Coors "banquet" beer. But I am sure missing scotch. Figure I'll pick up a bottle later tonight. :)

Don't say that, now I am going to have to buy another bottle of Ballantyne's, ran out of scotch at the camp. Scotch don't last long there.

Got my Johnnie Walker red label and am felling no pain. Using Coors extra gold as a chaser. Boy am I feeling great. Tomorrow I will regret this adventure. :barf:

Vodka Martini;) I'm not going to work tomorrow until about 10:30:D

I'm sitting in the Bourbon Capital of the world!!!!. . . .I think I'm going to stay here until they throw me. . . . .errrrr. . . . carry me out!!!!! :D

Woodford Reserve. . . Maker's Mark. . . and a new one for me called Vintage Bourbon 23 year old ! ! ! ! !

Yummmmmy!!!

Tomorrow I'm getting up early to hit a bottle of VanWinkle and Buffalo Trace. . . I know, it sounds like a job doesn't it???. . . Now if I could just convince someone to pay me for my drinking services I'd be rich I tell you. . . . Filthy Rich!!!!!!

Okay, dream over. Sorry I faded out there for a minute!!!!!

Let's Drink!!!!

Jerry :D

Alton Brown did a show on drinks and said ice is essential to release the full nuance of the classic "on the rock" drinks. To answer your earlier posts TonyG.

HamFransisco. . . .What's in your martini?

I'm standing by with my martini kit in hand. . . shaken, not stirred!!!

Jerry

I switched from Grey Goose to Belvedere Vodka.

I use about 2-3 OZs of vodka then I add a few drops of vermouth and a few of olive juice. The Vodka is kept in the freezer.

I’m not making any statement about Grey Goose Vs. Belvedere, but I’m dating a Polish woman and well they got that right:thumbup:  so I figure I’d try the Vodka too….

Ah, Tony has himself, as my grandmother would say, a nice Hunky girl! Good for you Tony.

Only JD in this house and on the rocks at that. Its a little early right now but in about an hour I will have to fill up the glass. But maybe its never too early.

Jerry, I'm jealous.

I've been telling folks for a while that I want to go up and do the Bourbon Trail.

Happy drinking.

There may be something genetically different about me, but I just can't seem to grow fond of the martini, unless it's all flavored up. (Edited to save my manly reputation.)

I tried one one the 4th. 3 oz. of Ketel One, 1/2 oz. of dry vermouth (Gallo). Chilled it in a shaker and plopped in a couple of olives (just plain old Spanish olives).

I had to choke it down.

Help me, lest I be relegated to a lifetime of cranberry, peach, and apple martinis.

Is it my choice of vodka? My vermouth? The olives?
