Anyone else excited about the new Evil Dead?

I get a little more excited with each passing day! It's hard not to get your hopes up :D
 
Two days!!! I will not be seeing it until next Thursday so I will have to avoid this thread at all costs..... well I might peak ALITTLE! :thumbup:
 
Saw it last night. As far as remakes go, this is one of the better ones (still prefer the original though). Had some creepy and tense moment, plenty of blood and gore and decent acting from the entire cast. Doesn't have the heart of the original though but then again, remakes seldom do. Also the Deadites acted more like Reagan from the Exorcist and there were other little nit picks I have about the movie but overall I'd say if your a fan of the originals or are just a horror fan, this one is worth the price of admission. Also watch the credits.

This review made my day! I'm so glad that someone likes it and came back to share their thoughts with us. I think I'll be heading out to see it tonight if I can get enough time to go catch a showing. :thumbup:
 
Just got back from seeing this and, daaammmmnn, this movie is some freaky s#*t!! :eek::eek:

They do not leave gore to the imagination. Cool how it's still so reminiscent of the old Raimi ones, too. Go see this if you like scary movies even slightly :thumbup:
 
Overall, I liked it. I went into it with an open mind since I was well aware of the first Evil Dead. I ended up laughing through quite a bit of it, so it was good that the theater was pretty empty except for my friends and I. :foot:


I loved the end, the very end after all the credits ran. That little bit of Bruce Campbell made my day. :D
 
I couldn't go see it opening day :( There was WAYYYY too many people there for my liking. Going to see it tomorrow though! I've never been this excited for a scary movie!
 
I've seen the new ED twice now. Like I said I really enjoyed it despite it's flaws. I really hope an unrated version comes out on Blu. I read they had edit quite a bit of footage to avoid an NC-17 rating just because of the gore.
