FWIW: I reported his actions to the Mod's (flaking), & I was kind of hoping they'd address his actions for this type of behavior.

Noted but not addressed until it becomes a repeat behavior. If I remember correctly, the only report was for a single instance.
Lack of follow-through after an "I'll take it" is frowned on in the rules, but we recognize that life happens. So a single report typically will not result in an infraction.

FWIW: We had my mother cremated and spread her ashes out in the ocean. Yesterday (Christmas day), I paddled out off our coast for 2 hours in stormy/rainy conditions (at the exact location of this picture), had a conversation with & left flower's out in the water for my mom.

I agree that the internet guys who think themselves clever, typing the most unsavory personal insults, would never have the courage to say that to an unknown person face to face.

My dad was a tough military war veteran, LEO & cowboy. When we had issues, he'd get out the boxing gloves, & we settled things mano y mano. When I was in the Seabee's (or at any time in my life, nobody would ever dare talk about another person's parents in this manner):

I was just thinking about how physical confrontations can wind up with someone getting mortally injured. I’ve seen things blow up really fast when anger takes over.
