It's our weather here in California that they really want, especially here in San Diego. I'll be keeping my eye out for toques and Canadian Tire bags. What! Huh?......Mexico?, ohhhhhh never mind..

I believe in the humanity of the illegals, but I also view them as criminals (a distinctly human condition). I view Mexico as aiding and supporting the criminal effort because the second biggest producer in their economy is money sent home by illegals. I'm glad its getting addressed at least, but I don't hope for much. Holding my breath though.

Georgia is doing some good things independantly on imigration and property rights, and they are passing a don't back down gun law too. I'm proud to be southern and will be supporting the politicians who will continue on this path.

Glad to hear it Andy. New Mexico is like minded. What good does it do to carry if you have to run when threatened, thereby exposing your back? I think the most perceptive qualifier on the right to carry is that you may not contribute to the escalation of a conflict. So, in New Mexico, you can stand your ground but you cannot respond in kind to verbal abuse or insults no matter how severely you may be provoked. A gun is not the means for winning an arguement, it is strictly a tool for protecting life and limb when all other options have been exhausted. I find that the "no escalation" qualifier leads to responsible, courteous behavior, and believe that permitting concealed carry will greatly reduce the rate of violent crime. A criminal wanabe can never tell when that unassuming potential victim may have at hand the means to stop him cold.
