Anyone ever done buisness with 2thehilt.com?

I bought a knife from Phil that was not yet in stock. He was expecting it from the maker which was my understanding from the beginning. I received it promptly. It was a smooth transaction all the way.

Let me add my voice to the chorus. I've bought from Phil, and gotten exactly what was described. I've found him to be a really good guy.

Phils is top notch all the way! Wouldn't hesitate a secong to do another deal with Phil. I'm sure you'll be happy once your transaction is complete.

Seems kinda redundant, but I also purchased a knife from Phil, and it was better than he advertised. I recommend him too.

If I am looking for a new knife, Phil is one of the first people I go to find out if he has it in stock. His rep is rock solid and his word is gold. :D

Masterchef, I was kinda wondering if he was ever going to reply:confused:

Well, I actually stopped paying attention to this thread after the first few replies because my question had been answered. Now, it appears, my reply is not needed.

Well I guess I had to find out for myself what knife you were waiting for. The reason I asked is because Phil happens to be a very good friend of mine and this thread made me mad that you would endager not only a friend but a Dealer on this forum.

I am not endangering anyone. The knife won't be sold to a minor; my parents are buying it. They are perfectly aware of what the knife is. They will transfer the knife to me, and since it's for me, I'm doing the research and communication on the subject. It doesn't break a single law, but if I knew people were going to find out I still wouldn't have done it this way, but does it matter? It's not illegal.

TheMightyGoat what you've done is not honest. You contacted a dealer on this forum to sell you something. You did not tell him you were 15 years old,you did not say it was your parents buying it until you were caught. You seem to be a VERY smart young man from the way you write things but none the less it IS ILLEGAL to sell to you and you were about to jeoprodize a friend of mine as well as a respected Dealer on these forums. Stick within your guidelines for now, biuld some respect and trust and become a long time member instead of getting booted out like some other's ie. Spyderpunk and who knows. You are VERY inteligent and I look forward to your contributions in the future but please dont bring trouble this way!!!!! Thanks mike;)

Mike is correct in the fact that deception to purchase a regulated item is Illegal and you can get thrown in Jail along with your parents and me. Like I said, in the e-mail I sent to you, I can understand and appreciate the fact that you want a knife like the one you are trying to buy in your collection but sometimes you have to wait for things you really want but if you are willing to jeopardize your family and another mans lively hood and freedom then what you are trying to do is just plan wrong.

I want to thank my great friend Mike for watching my back on this one. I owe you one buddy.

Phil

For the record, I didn't know it was illegal at the time. In the eyes of the law, ignorance is not an excuse, but perhaps from a moral perspective it is.

Phil is a very respected and honest dealer. My 13 year old son has a Red Swat 911 Balisong in his collection that was purchased from Phil by ME. I contacted Phil and legally purchased the knife. My son had no communication or dealings in the transaction. Then I as a parent gave it to my son. All of my son's knives were purchased by me with him having no involvement in the transaction.
Mighty Goat, I can appreciate your intrest in knives and hope that you build a fine collection. We just have to play by the rules so that this great hobby does not get any of us in trouble.
Next time you want to add another knife to your collection, have your Mom or Dad make the order.

I'll keep that in mind.

He did me a good deal shortly after Blade last year, you'll hear no complaints from me either. By reading the posts above, not only is he honest, but he is very mindful of his ethics over all.
