Anyone familiar with this machine?

I get it, I mentioned that I had a lot of this material, Ill cut some into strips and test first in industrial oil, then regular cooking oil, then some water, heck maybe even some salt solutions if the need arises...
Lest just hope for success on the first try

Well, it really worked on the first try:
The piece was dunked in industrial oil, then smacked with a hammer and then bent in the vice, it broke almost instantly...
Here are some pictures:

My knife bent though, I was holding it weird, dunked it at an angle, it was pitch black when I did it. My grinds were totally perfect and simetrical, yes sir!
Im not to blame here xD

Anyways, the knife is in the oven now, at 200c for two hours. Lets see if we can get that curve out

Let me give that a try. Thank you Stacy and Spalted.

If the planer blades have nicks in them that shows up in the finished piece you can usually shift one blade over 1/4" and the problem will go away.
