Im from the Boston MA area unfortunately there are no knife dealers around that sell high end knives that i know of. I know knives arent as popular to as many people in this area, as they are in other states. I have to make all my purchases online, which i dont mind but i was just wondering if anyone is from this area that knows of any knife dealers. I have done some google searches but dont find much of anything. Thanks

I heard there is a decent store in Hanover...I have not gone as yet though.

Heya I'm from Boston and I don't think there's anywhere else other than Sawyers Cutlery but its a ways away from me. . There was an amazing shop call 'On the Edge' in Quincy Market but it closed shop after the owner passed.

There used to be a couple small stores in Boston and Cambridge but they are long gone. Never been to Sawyer's, I will check them out if I'm ever in the area.

There used to be a kitchen/chef's store on Newbury street that had a lot of knives but of course all of the kitchen variety, not sure they are there any more.

I went to Sawyers when they were in Hingham. Glad to hear that they are still in business. There is Stoddard's in Newton, but I think they have a pretty limited selection these days. Knife pickings have always been very slim in this state, at least since the 80's when I moved here.

Sawyers is located across from the Hanover Mall on route 53 in Hanover. He's about the only game in town around these parts. I haven't been there in over a year but he did have a very good selection. Hope he still does.

Sawyers is pretty decent. The prices are higher then you would pay online, but not terrible. They have a lot of inventory that is not displayed in the case so don't be afraid to ask them what Else they may have

There may still be a Stoddard's Cutlery in the Chestnut Hill Mall. I remember when I was younger taking the T into Boston and going to Stoddard's when it was off Park St. They had a lot of high end knives. The last time I was in the Chestnut Hill Stoddard's, they had some Randalls and some other custom knives and some high end and higher priced production knives. If you are looking for users, you can always try the Kittery Trading Post in Kittery Maine. There's a Bass Pro Shop in Foxboro I've been to once. I haven't bought a knife in years, though, and I haven't bought from a store in even longer.

Good luck and let us know how you make out.

Other than Cabelas and Bass Pro shops there is not much. There is a decent knife store in Raymond, NH which is about 45 minutes away.

Where do you live? I graduated from Raymond High School...Kittery Trading Post is the place to go. Friends of mine are the owners there and have always treated me great. I will be travelling to Raymond for my birthday this September for an all class reunion.

In the Concord area. Kittery is OK but it's in Maine and I hate the drive down Route 4!!!

There's also a Sawyer River Cutlery in North Conway. Overpriced, but nice if you want to go and handle the knives.

The new Bass Pro shops in Hooksett, also Riley's Gun Shop in Hooksett, they carry Benchmade and Spyderco.
