Anyone from the MA area?

Kittery Trading Post is definitely the place to go. I've picked up some nice blades in the pre owned section over the years. They had a Chris Reeve Mountaineer for $175 and I still regret not picking it up!

There may still be a Stoddard's Cutlery in the Chestnut Hill Mall. I remember when I was younger taking the T into Boston and going to Stoddard's when it was off Park St. They had a lot of high end knives. The last time I was in the Chestnut Hill Stoddard's, they had some Randalls and some other custom knives and some high end and higher priced production knives. If you are looking for users, you can always try the Kittery Trading Post in Kittery Maine. There's a Bass Pro Shop in Foxboro I've been to once. I haven't bought a knife in years, though, and I haven't bought from a store in even longer.

Good luck and let us know how you make out.

Stoddards closed in the mall and moved to a storefront in Nonantum. I went in the new store once and they did not have much. In the 80's they had three stores, Temple Place in Boston, Costly Place (Copely Place), and Chestnut Hill. Now they just have the one store.

I have to second Chuck's statement earlier, the NECCA shows are the best chance for you to see anything cool. I'm about 40 minutes south of Boston, in all of RI there's just a couple Bechmade and Spyderco retailers. Surpsisingly, one of them is a cigar shop in my town (Smithfield Smoke Shop). They have a very good selection of Benchmades, Spydercos. and Protechs (at MSRP, ouch). The proprietor is a bit gruff if you're not a typical customer of his (a.k.a me). He also has a crazy collection o Randall's that he keeps on display in the store.

If any of y'all are going to the NECCA show in Mystic CT in May, see you there!

Heya I'm from Boston and I don't think there's anywhere else other than Sawyers Cutlery but its a ways away from me. . There was an amazing shop call 'On the Edge' in Quincy Market but it closed shop after the owner passed.

I used to love going in there! Sorry to hear that it closed down.
