I just got back from the beach last night and there was a new Smoky Mountain Knife Works catalog in my mail. On the cover is a Custom 110 with chipflint blade, nickle silver bolsters, buffalo horn handles with a white buffalo inlaid, 500 pieces....and all sold out. Someone here on the forum had to get lucky.....not me:grumpy:

me too (would love to have one) that looks good a perfect match for the other chipflints

The person I spoke with said the 110 went on sale 2 weeks ago. SMKW was sent 250 knives, all sold, and another 250 pieces on order, all sold:grumpy: . It seems like Custom 110s aren't hard to sell

The pic of the SMKW looks like these were selling for $99.00ea. I would take one at that price!!! I guess it's time to have the SMKW catalog sent my way again.

Oddly enough, even before I knew about these, I ordered a custom 110 with water buffalo scales, nickle silver bolsters and BG-42 steel. :D

Not me either Scott. This is the first I have even seen of these!
I have Smoky Mountains web site saved in my favorites. Check it occasionally.
Never even saw them. Looks cool. I bet they will make more unserialized knives down the road. Seems they usually do. Great price on that one too!
I just bought a Custom 110 Buffalo with nickel silver bolsters and mirror polished blade for $97.00 from Buck...
The one on smoky mountain was a steal!
How was vacation Scott???

No! I just ordered it a few days ago. I'll let you know when it gets here and try to post some photos.

Though SMKW is not my preferred source of knives for a whole bunch of reasons, facts are that they do occasionally have GREAT deals, the catalog is colorfully written, and I've never had a problem when I've bought from them. Always sealed product, brand new, with good shipping times. And the couple or so times I've returned something, they've issued full credit no problem.

So I'd definitely recommend signing up to get the catalog. Anyway, it's great getting knife catalogs in the mail. :) Even the black and white Parker catalog.

well it seems that the chip flint or other treatments is a very desired collectable, a native steel went for 200+ reacently with out buck stamp on it.
i did not know that any went out with out the stamp.

most all new customs but not the older customs are gaining collectable stats
pratner, ghostown , to name a few... wander were it will all get to...

The very day my SMKW catalog arrived I went to the website to order one of these and they were already "out of stock". So much for getting the catalog! At least I got a picture of one! 'Bet they wish they had ordered 1000.

well if they disappeared that quick someone must have bought quite a few multiples dont you figure ?

I think those crazy knives were sold out before I even knew they existed! I STILL have not seen one.
By the way, the one you may have seen on Ebay was a sample made years ago by Wilde Bill Cody. Knice knife!!
