Anyone get a Buffalo 110?

relax. he meant I think that the cutting of the buffalo horn is called impala gigging. the 'stripes' have texture like an impalas horn or like a screw thread.

I like that kind of scale...routered, or rippled, or whatever...I gotta get one!!! :D
That's the one I ordered from Buck last week. I can't wait to get it.

I had a steak cut from a bison tenderloin a few week ago ... hand rubbed with some "secret spices," then slow cooked over low coals.

It was . . . an experience to remember.

I believe it's "Impala jigged" buffalo horn:D

Hmm. Do you really think they would try to pass off Impala for buffalo horn? I hope not! Sound like that would be cause for a return for mis-rep-ta-tion.

Does anyone know where I can purchase a 303 with Buffalo horn scales referred to above? I collect the 303 Cadets.

The silence from Buck on this topic is deafening.....

Thx,
Dan

Judging from the Mid-2006 Buck Special Editions, 532,55,& 303, all with Asian Water Buffalo handles,
who had these or where are they sold ?? this is the first i have heard of them

Asian Water Buffalo is not American Bison... we call them buffalo for some reason i dont rember ...
but unless it is advertised as bison it is not and if it is said as jest buffalo it could be any of several kinds... none of which except bison imply a north american critter...
same on if it is ram it could be goat sheep or several other critters that have curved horns...
so if there is any reason to prefur or care of what U get... ASK first!!!

I agree with Larry Oden! Contact him! If these are the ones I am thinking of
Larry sent them out with his consignment list, they were cherrywood/Buffalo handles split with a piece of silver? Limited # of special editions...
Something along those lines anyway! not positive but I do remember seeing
them! Good luck!
