Just wondering if anybody gets a kick out of today’s nostalgic sepia type photos?

I personally love the nostalgic touch that these photos add to a home. We have quite a few of them through our's. Some are of my wife and I together, some of them of all of us together, and some of us individually. I don’t usually have them taken while I'm holding silly things like bank loot bags and such, prefering them done with just the old setting and old style clothing alone.

Anyhow, here is one of me where I made an exception by holding a dummy 1928 Thompson sub-machine gun:

Here is one I just did up on my computer, it's of my HI khukuri knife (just for ha ha’s):

Movie star quality, JJ.

But that stuff is not for me. Hollywood has done reams of movies with the same longing, kind of milky look back. Yours was very well done- as always.

Notice that the picture actually shows a safety minded gangster, having his finger off the trigger until he's ready to fire ;)

Though it would not have fired anyway if it were a real gun and I had squeezed the trigger, since the authentic Tommy Guns fired from an open bolt,.......... and this dummy gun had it's bolt set forward (notice the cocking knob) ;)

Yup ;)

My girl and I took pictures like that about a dozen years ago in high school. It came out pretty well. We gave her cousin one. Funny thing too. A couple of days ago her cousin told us that she thought she had lost it. Turns out the photo got into the laundry. Some of the edges got crinkled, but overall the photo was none the worse for wear. It actually looks better too, like it's an actual old photo.

Well there pardner, the misses and you make a fine couple ;)

Looks very cool, thanks for sharing it :)

Missus? I ain't married. Missus? That there floozie kept plying me with booze and trying to get me to "go upstairs". Dadgum loose woman taking advantage of an honest cowhand like that.

Wooeee, I'd best watch out, if she ever sees this she's gonna beat me bloody with a stick. :o :D

She's beautiful, Sarge. The two of you have a lot of stories that deserve to be told, I'm sure.

I am more than a little curious how the DATA was collected for this comparison! My respect for SARGE is growing by the minute. Steve Irwin WATCHOUT!

She sure does not show that side of herself in the photo, that's for sure :)

Then again, it would not have taken her much of an effort to break that bottle she has in her hands right over your head! Apparently you knew this, and it's probably why she proudly smiles, while you sit there in obvious fear!................ LOL!.......... ;)

Even gangsters go home to "their" bosses............

I actually like the sepia-toned look a great deal better than bw or grayscale. it's not at all a black and white effect... more like browns and yellows.

and something about sepia makes women look (even) better naked. hm...

All cats are gray in the dark;)

LOL!!!!!!!!!!!!! :)

Oh man, that's good :)

But, even in the dark,............ some cats are a bit less furry, a bit softer, and some much easier to pet than others ;)

And a blonde once told me that they don't have any more fun than girls with hair of another color, it's just that they're easier to find in the dark.;)  :D
