• Happy Thanksgiving to all of you! I hope that you all have something to be grateful for this year and for many years to come
  • America has reached 250 years, and I am grateful to be here, in the best country in the world. Thank every one of you who helps make this country a better place, those who have gone before and risked it all, and those who've paid the ultimate price to make the United States what we are today.

Happy Birthday America! Let Freedom Ring for all time!

anyone get the new ruger 10-22 pistol?

post a picture of it kr1. check out mine http://mysite.verizon.net/reswhz6f/id22.html

Here is an old picture with both the MKI and my S&W model 317 I posted on the forum. The target in the middle was shot with the SS Ruger at a respectable distance offhand. I don't remember the exact distance now.

I'm not home right now, up north in NH enjoying the hiking this weekend. Beautiful weather.

Very cool pic Richard. I didn't look at it until I had written this up first. I assumed that you wanted to see my SS MKIII. I see now you were more interested in my MKI. :D

i like them all:D. i have a trigger mod you can do to your standard model that will make it shoot a little better. send me an email and i'll send you some pictures.

Ruger's new Charger may have some merit. It's very light (I've handled it, but not with a scope...it's only 4-5 lbs with a scope and rings). The 10" barrel doesn't seem to lose much velocity over a 16" barrel based on some of the chrono'd info I read. What I don't like is that it doesn't have back up iron sites...yeah, you may not need them, but it doesn't hurt to have'em!

Slim profile, light weight...would make a great backpacking plinker that can easily and accurately hit at 100 meters. It's a nice little niche pistol (well, actually not too little). I don't shoot much beyong a 100 meters with my Marlin Papoose or Ruger 10/22's...the Charger is a much smaller and easier piece to pack.

ROCK6: My thought exactly on the iron sights. It seems like it should either have iron sights or come with at least a basic scope of some kind.

I think I'd still kind of like to get one. It seems like it would offer a decent advantage in range and accuracy over a regular pistol without being quite as cumbersome to carry as a rifle.
