Last week I trimmed the handle of an Opinel 6 for pocket carry. I dropped the point, and torched and waxed the handle. Then I ordered a new No.7 to see what it would take to modify the new lock ring setup to work like the old one.
For me, that’s not just a binge, it’s an Opinel binge.
Just yesterday, I found an Improved Muskrat for sale and ordered it for my son’s birthday. Naturally, I expect him to be bowled over, but probably not until I have taken the time to educate him on the virtues of six dollar Chinese slipjoints.
