I could go on a while here but I'm too tired to keep thinking. Usually if I can afford it I buy two if I find something I like. I do the same thing with boots and shoes because I get to like them and then two or three years later when I want another pair I find out they don't make them anymore.
Bought 2 Kershaw Vapour II's - destroyed the first, started carrying the second, then changed my mind about the usefulness of the AUS6 steel.
Bought 5 large Opinels at once. Still have them all, stashed in various toolboxes throughout the house. Super-duper value knife.
Bought 5 Schrade Old Timer slipjoints that were seconds - minor cosmetic flaws that didn't affect the functioning at all. have lost all but 1 of them. Love that old-fashioned carbon steel.
I think I must have some kind of mental problem that makes me want 2 of everything. I have 2 of some of my favorite production folders, and 2 of some of Busses, which isn't easy, cause they aren't cheap, That's for sure.
2 Spydie Meerkats
2 Spydie Gray Calypso Jr.
2 Buck 110's (1 is the 100th Anniversary)
3 Ka-Bar/Dozier Folding Hunters
Justifications - no problem. The Meerkat is a pretty handy l'il guy and handy enough that two is a requirement - I should actually get another, my second one somehow crept into my wife's purse Calypso Jr. - well, it's a bit of a collectible not to mention a terrific slicer. My Centofante III is the backup there. My 110-I have a 112 as my primary, and the 110 as a backup, should anything happen-the 100th Anniversary is a collectible. Ka-Bar/Doziers - you can't just have one I "should" have a second FRN/PE Delica but I can get those pretty easily.
I have fifteen of the various configurations of Busse's Natural Outlaw, including three of the 14 Desert Clip Point NO's made. Obviously these are mostly safe queens, although I do use a Combat Grade NO and a Zero Tolerance NO.
I also have eleven of the various Busse Steel Hearts, with a CG SH E and a ZT SH being the users.
The 3/16" Busse Zero Tolerance NO's and SH's are among the sweetest users ever made. I am partial to the thinner Busses in general.
