Hmm for some reason, I don't see the appeal to Brutes or Machaxes. I don't really like the huge false edge on the Brute, and the angle on the Machaxes handle strikes me as odd and uncomfortable. Of course I have never seen one in person, but that may change in the near future, as well as my opinion on them...
 
I thought the same thing---until I bought & used an Ontario Knife Company Kuhkri w/1/4" thick spine. It is a formidable piece of steel & once you use it, it is just pure awesomeness. You will change your mind.
 
oh indeedy. once you figure out how to exploit a khukri, you'll look at a piece of straight steel, and go, durrrrrr :)

why is a hatchet so useful? similar idea...

while i may have clues from time to time, i AM practically the last to know sometimes. even Ethan and Toooj get surprised when something hits the shelves early :)

i don't expect any business to tell me their secret business plans. apple doesn't and i give them a lot more money :)

all we need to know is that this stuff is coming. probably as fast as they can. they like profits and stuff like that. go figure ;)

Yup, go figure. But an idea of when is always good as opposed to a vague "stuff is coming". It could be, Apple is releasing "this item" in the 3rd quarter of 2011.
Companies do that, too. Sometimes that keeps the customer from moving to a different product. How many times have people said, if I knew this was coming out, I would have waited.;)
Not saying you know anything, just commenting.:)

in some cases, it's been slipped approximately when. mostly KaBar manages early too :) though not ALWAYS ;) i'm looking at YOU mr certain knife i have in mind ;)

this year :) Spring, Summer, Fall.

apple actually denies to strongly, it's almost the best way to tell they're about to. they're turned from the people's computing company into ... something that makes Bill Gates look really good from a PR perspective ;)

There's a YouTube video of a Kukri beheading a cow, no joke. Sucker is designed heavy duty.

that's the warrior. for stabby stabby fighting and stuff. not a proper Machax. pretty though. that back swedge is sharpened. very sharp.

if you check out the DB there should be some literature on that.
