Anyone have anything to say about Knife Outlet?

I recently ordered a Tops Combat Bowie 2 at an amazing price.

I payed using paypal and waited a few days for some form of reply.

They accepted the payment and yet still no reply.

I did call and got a hold of a nice C/S lady who assured me that I would get shipping conformation that night. A few days of trying to be patent still no reply.

I sent an email. A few days went by with no response.

I just sent them a second email hoping it would get noticed this time.

I really want to give knife outlet every chance to contact me but I must admit I am starting to worry. I really hope I can edit this post as my knife is shipped to my door or they contact me letting me know what is up.


Just wanted to check with the community about other experiences to ether calm me down or have me hit the red panic button and contact Paypal about fraud.

Well honestly, I always read the feedback forum before trying a new site. You really should have checked into the site BEFORE ordering. I hope everything works out. Good luck
 
While their communication is sometimes minimal, you needn't worry. They are a well established business that has been around for a long time. Fred (the owner) posts frequently on these boards. You will get your knife.

I agree, I've bought quite a few knives from KO without a problem.
 
Me too. Fred is honest, and very knowledgeable. He won't run out with your money. Be patient, and call back.

He must be out of town or something as every time I've ever called I talked to Fred.
 
KnifeOutlet is one of the best online knife store. I already ordered 3 good knives from them.

2. Spyderco Civilian
3. Boker Reality Based

I had no problems whatsoever. The next knife i will order from them is the Emerson La Griffe. I hope they have a stock now.

Why was this posted in General? Please pay attention to the rules of the discussion forums. We have established them for sound reasons.
 
I've bought several knives from them since 2001. I've never had any problems.

Me too. They've been one of my Go To online vendors for nearly a decade.
HOWEVER, currently I find myself in the same boat as OP.
I placed an order on 6/17, payed w/ Paypal, and have received no communication whatsoever.
Willing to bet Fred will come along here pretty soon and say he's been on vacation or something.........
 
I'm very sorry. We had a mail server issue. Our mail server was used by a spammer to send spam. We received over 100,000 bounced emails and getting rid of them turned out to be nearly impossible so we had to delete and reinstall the mail accounts several times over a period of a week. That is an act of desperation because it erases all the emails. If I saw your email I responded. If not, well.......all I can say is I'm sorry it happened. If there was a problem with your order you should have received an email. If there was not, then you should have received an email from UPS with the tracking number. The mail server is working properly right now so If you could send your email again, I'll get on it.
