First, Hello All. Its been a while since ive been able to be around and keep up with the forums, but after 5 months away its great to be back. I have alot to catch up on.

I was cruising the net the other day and came across this guy promoting his own crafted blades. Ill be the first to say the blades look nice as hell, HOWEVER, as he states on his site they are a product of his own experience. I think they are more likely a product of straightening a blade on a "Tom Brown Tracker" His prices are what kill me. $600 for the knife and another $300 for the sheath which is sold seperate. I've never heard of this guy before and thought I would share and get some opinions.

$550 for a 1095 Tracker rip-off. :jerkit: I think I'd rather have the Bear Grylls knife.

Some idiot would buy it.

J. Lightning? The ad copy would be enough to turn me off of this one.

I do like the sheath. I wouldn't pay $300 for it though.

This was my favorite paragraph from the site:

This knife was made for the "Marbles" knife company and is from Pakistan. Folded and tempered and is extremely hard as Damascus can be. It was so hard, the factory sharpener could not put a real edge on it. We finished it to detail, and wore out two diamond stones to put an incredible edge on it that looks chrome plated, and is "scary" sharp. This knife has a beautiful Damascus pattern in it, from the great tempering done to it. Comes with leather sheath.

I've never seen this knife, nor know anything about the maker. Obviously his prices are way high, and my opinion of knives like this are pretty low in general.

Seems he used good materials, but this whole package is way to gimmicky for me.

For that kind of money, Dan Koster could make enough knives for you and your whole family.

Lets see, we pay a ton of money for a knife we can't sharpen, that's made in PAKISTAN? Home of the $5.00 ripoff.

WHAT A DEAL!!!!

I like how the diff models have diff heat treats and the more you spend, the more heat treats it gets!

Edge is additionally heat treated 1x
$549.00 plus tax (if applicable), shipping & handling (sheath not included)

Edge is additionally heat treated 2x
$569.00 plus tax (if applicable), shipping & handling (sheath not included)

Heat treated three times plus three times additional edge
hardening and diamond honed
$589.00 plus tax (if applicable), shipping & handling (sheath not included)

That made my stomach turn right there:barf:

My fav ad is for the sheath;

"Commando" wire-saw $1.25

Water Purification tabs $4. (for bottle)
Multi-Vitamin supplement ( a few cents for a few)
Fishing line / hooks / sinkers $1.99 (variety pack at wal-mart)
15ft of Paracord!! WOOT $4. for 100 Ft

Total Price of Knife Sheath $299.00 Nylon must be outragous!

Check out the CUSTOM KNIVES section and look at the $20.00 Cold Steel G.I Tanto he's asking $150.00 for

From reading RAZR's "About us," and looking at that abortion of an outdoor knife, I'd say that guy has been watching too many action-adventure-fantasy movies.

Also, what is a "tactical operator?"

I know a current Navy SEAL, plus two former Navy SEALs, two former U.S.A. Special Forces members, and two former USMC Force Recon members. One of the SEALs, one of the S.F. guys, and one of the Force Recon members, are good friends of mine. In the many years I've known them, I've never once heard them refer to themselves or their teammates as "tactical operators."

Hmmmmm.

the advertisement is hilarious! a knife with a
"point that is perfectly aligned with the center of the blade..."

gosh, never seen that on a knife before! no wonder it costs so much!

This is what I was thinking too. WTF this guy if FN nuts. cheap crappy supplies in a cheap crappy sheath and marked up 1000%. What a Joke! The stupid background image really makes the site easy to read too.
