Anyone here read comic books?

I am 39 years of age, and Make Mine Marvel!

I started collecting as a kid, read Spiderman, DD, FF, Captain America, Avengers and the X-men. I slowed down quite a bit during my 20's, picked it up again about five years ago and now follow some writers and artists regularly. Today I picked up Supreme Power, New Avengers, Astonoshing X-Men and Ex Machina.

Marvel Comics- those were the days. X-Men, Fantastic 4, Spiderman, Avengers, Daredevil, Captain America, Ironman, SubMariner, The Incredible Hulk, Silver Surfer, Nick Fury Agent of Shield, Master of Kung Fu (remember Shang- Chi?) and all the rest. I' ve collected a lot of them and read them all. And stopped when each comic went up to $1.50!!! Big Difference from .10 and .12!!! Yeah, those were the days.

My all time favorite artist Wally Wood (RIP :( ) really showed his stuff in T.H.U.N.D.E.R. Agents! Fans will remember Dynamo, Lightning and NoMan.

Actually, they were mentioned a couple posts above. ;) I have read some of them, and they were excellent. I found them at the local public library once when I was a kid, and they must have been stolen, because I never could find them again. :(

Was once and still am a comic book geek. Today, my tastes run for the regulars (Batman, Superman, X-men) and the gritty stuff (100 Bullets, Transmetro). And, I tend to follow certain writers (Moore, Rucka, Bendis, Loeb and Stracynzski).

Nice to see other geeks around here.

I've only got one pic of my guy on the pc here he is...
