Anyone in PA want to plan a M&G?

Im in central NJ And would like to go. I work weekends so I need notice to get the days off unless we do it during the week.

I think car camping with a day hike might be simpler to coordinate.

I have some spare gear I would be willing to bring for trade or for those who need items.

I'm sure there is going to be a lot of stuff for trade.

It's most likely going to be on the weekend so we'll try and nail down a date pretty far in advance.

I updated the original post with some dates. Let me know what you guys think.

I would definitely be interested on meeting up with people. It was a lot of fun in CT. Just keep the details rolling and I'll try and figure out if I can go or not :)

I'm going to be in PA for a year starting in August. I'd love to get to meet some of you guys but it looks like I'm going to miss this one. I'll be in the Quakertown area. Mac

the first weekend may be tough, but i may be able to go to the other 2 times if work allows.

May 30 - June 1 is looking good. It just may be kind of close to try and get something planned. May have to push to late June depending on what others are able to do. I know schedules are hard to try and move around.

How is this date for everyone else?

myright, the Delaware Water Gap is an area that I hike in frequently and can offer some good hiking destinations that are off the beaten path. All have either hidden mountain ponds/lakes with working beaver lodges or waterfalls as points of interest. It's also close to stores/shops for resupply if needed.

Wish I could make it the weekend of the 31-Jun1, but I have priror committments.

Mrs. Shotgunner and I love the water gap, Beautiful country. The wife and I found ourselves about 30 yd. away from a momma black bear and her cubs on the Appalachian trail there a few years back. Very cool, but scary.

I'm sitting back and waiting for a final date to see if I can make it or not. I'd hate to be pushing a particular date and then not be able to make it.

That would be great.

Drop me an email and we can discuss. chargernet @ verizon.net

How is Valley View? It looks like it accepts a decent amount of people into one campsite.

Are you going to be able to make it?

We'll see if these dates hold up. Maybe next time we'll catch ya, or plan one down in VA.

I have family moving down to Charlottesville so I'll be down there a bit more often.

I just edited the dates. I got yelled at by my wife for trying to plan a trip on the weekend of the baby shower... :(

June 20-22 is out for me now.

It's looking more and more like the end of May is going to work for everyone.
Once we get a location nailed down I'll start a new thread the drum up some more participation.

Maybe in the next few days we'll have a location.

It's just too close to the end of May to get anything going.

June 27-29 is looking like the day. How is that for everyone?

I've got to make a few phone calls to look for a campsite and I will post that up in the few days.
