Anyone live around Orange County??

sounds like we might be able to do this. Lets scout some locations and get this going. I have only been to the san gaberial mountains, there are a few lakes that we could backpack into, but there are fire restrictions.

There will be fire restrictions almost everywhere in CA except for car camps. Big Bear Lake has fishing and so does Green Valley Lake Campground. Both in the San Bernardino Mountains. I would rather backpack than car camp but a get together with some good people is cool anyway we do it. Car camping is fun becouse of the all night fires and a place to cook food. Serrano or Hanna Flats campgrounds in Big Bear are close to the Pacific Crest Trail and Bertha Peak is the highest point in Big Bear and overlooks the lake.
