Having recently had a bad experience with them, they have posted an expanded explanation of their return policy on their website:
----------------------------------------------------------------------------

Please note that we will issue a credit to your account within 24-72 business hours of receiving your returned merchandise. We have no control over how long it takes your individual bank to process refunds. Please contact your credit card or debit card issuer to find out specific details about how refunds are processed. From our experience, it can take up to 30 business days for credits to post to your account.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------

They are right, they issue a credit within 24-72 business hours of receiving the returned merchandise. However, they use a separate company that takes care of debit card refunds, and I waited over 30 days for that credit to show up in my bank account because that separate company has a software problem with Mastercard debit cards. Knifecenter trys to blame it on the individual bank according to their return policy statement, but it is the company they use for credits that is the problem. So if you have a Mastercard debit card and you have to return some merchandise, be aware of this problem. You may be waiting a long time for a refund credit.

Great company. Done business with them since the 1990s.

Sounds like 7K7K99's problem isn't really with knifecenter, but their service provider. Some of these hold-ups are due to fraud protection policies, I wouldn't blame knifecenter.

It's not possible to inspect every package that gets sent. I've ordered from one firm and one person (both well known on this forum) who claim to do this but I've received goods that were not inspected, thus I don't believe their claims of pre-inspection. I do believe NewGraham inspects when you ask, because their guy had me wait while he got both knives that were in stock and compared them and told me what was wrong with both of them (guy was a good OCD knifenut). That might not be true now, because as they say...things change.

Brownshoe. still true. And I am not OCD, not OCD notOCD notOCD not OCD notodcnotocdnotocdnotocd...... :D

I had to change my order from the http://www.knifecenter.com/kc_new/store_detail.html?s=CR5520 to the http://www.knifecenter.com/kc_new/store_detail.html?s=CR5520K because the first was out of stock and I didn't feel like waiting. :o

I just put in an order monday morning and got my order tuesday morning. Excellent service, helpfull and friendly people, and you get what you pay for without gouging or misrepresentations. I've used them for several years and never had a less than perfect knife. I have reccomended them to family. What more can I say? Thanks Knifecenter! Joe L.

Based on Mastiff's recommendation, I called Knifecenter. I had been looking for a sprint run Spydie and talked to a nice and KNOWLEDGEABLE guy on the phone. They had the knife and it went out the same day. No price gouging; just a simple request that I not order the entire handful they had and simply turn around and jack the price on Ebay. I respected that attitude and, as planned, ordered only one.

Great guys! I will definitely use them again. GPKnives is another that I trust and like.
