Anyone removed Cerakote?

Damn, I can't believe I forgot about that thread! We need more pics though.

This thread prompted me to finally clean up my SFNO. It was the Cerracoated Shark face. Didn't mind it too much until the black started to flake off and leave the white background. I did however like the coated handles. First I rounded the corners a little around the talon hole and choil to increase comfort a bit when choking up. Then I attempted to etch the logo with a battery charger and salt water. As you will see that didn't work out.
Then I took it to work and glass bead blasted the entire knife. It was amazing how fast the coating disappeared! Had to be careful not to hit the Micatra too much. I wish I had taken the time to re-polish the convex edge, but I was anxious to get some pictures before dark.
Hope you fellow Hogs approve.

Just black canvas micarta, which is fine by me. Need to oil them up a bit. And re sharpen, its bugging me now.
A little disappointed there were no Infi dimples to be found.
With indoor lighting it looks more gray than white and you can see some primary grind lines but the sides are blemish free.

That looks great Hooker, thank you very much for the pics!

I haven't been able to sandblast yet because my buddy with the blaster is on a 2 week vacation. Should be back later this week.

Came out great, Hooker. Thanks for the pics..

Do the OP's scales look more Snakeskin than Tiger?...I see red in there?...I didn't think Tigerhide had any red in it, just greens and tan?...Not sure if I have this right.

Looking forward to more pics..

My Fat Ash is supposed to be done next week, will post up some pics when I get it. Hope it looks as good as Hooker's SNFO.

Without question one of the nicest Strippers I have seen-Great Job and Congrats!!!
