Anyone rent any good movies lately?

On the other hand, I have yet to figure "Syriana" out. My wife liked it, but there were just too damned many people and plots running in and out too damned quickly to keep track of them, so it became a jumbled blur for me. Perhaps that is what Clooney, the director, was seeking.

I don't think Clooney directed it.

I just watched The Island and although it was bit too Hollywood i kinda enjoyed it. If it didn't have Scarlett Johannsen in it i probably wouldn't have enjoyed it as much.

I went to see Syriana last weekend, I liked it.

WARNING - SPOILER BELOW

US asasinates the progressive prince to ensure the one friendly to the US gets in power. This was prompted by the corrupt oil guy. The CIA double crossed "Bob" because it was expedient to do so. The lawyers and the gov turned a blind eye to corruption. The suicide bomber youth wasn't a part of the major plot, just a subplot perhaps to illustate what happens to the "guest workers" which BTW we (the US) employs by the thousands through sub contractors in the region.

I just rented the entire first season of 24 so far so goooood! I am about to start the 3rd disc.
