Anyone scared of that knife that cut them?

I know I know knives don't cut people. PEOPLE cut people with knives. I've made my share of bonehead moves TESTING my knives. Never PLAYING with them of course. A few have cut me but my LM Wave cut me pretty bad and I find myself always reaching for another multi-tool instead of the wave which is a great tool.

Am I just a wimp or do others have that Nicholas Cage Eleanor Mustang of a blade in their collection?

I cut myself (actually stabbed myself in the upper arm & hand...DON'T ask...) with both my Cold Steel Tanto, and my Spyderco Temperance FB...Both knives are long-gone.

I let a guy at work hold my ZT350 so he could look at it, He immediately opened it and promptly cut his left hand with it. I guess he respects my knife now....

i got bit by my izula and by my leatherman charge Ti. still have them both and use them.

Pretty scared of my double edge BM42. Cut the bujesus out of my trigger finger with it when it was single edge. I've been using balisongs for 10 years but this one scares me. Tom Krein sharpened the top edge and anodized the handles.

currently have Three stiches in my left pinky... and my sebenza is having a time out...

lopped off chunk of knuckle, and a shiny scar, and my spec-elite was demoted to back-pocket duty.

not scared, really. just more weary. spend so much time with knives, eventually it's gonna get you.

It bit me again... I pulled it out to play with it because of this thread.

Nope, certain times I have become angry with myself for not paying enough attention and cutting myself. I have never become scared of a blade though.

Interestingly enough I used to have a BM Stryker that I never got along with. It's gone now.

Was unwrapping this little boot knife from Matt Roberts,
when it fell, I caught it between my pinky and last finger...

No pics of the bloody gore but I do have one of an Eleanor lookalike. :D

My very first knife, a Winchester knockoff-SAK got my thumb the first time I was using it. I was very embarassed, but I still have that knife. It's sitting in my tackle box. I also put my Gerber Paraframe into the tip of my right index finger because I used too much force cutting a zip tie. It bled a good amount but we're still friends and I even still carry it occassionally.

Hehe - human cut, kitty in the background really couldn't care less.

I'm scared of some of my knives - I still use them though, the fear just makes me cautious. My Opinels get so damn sharp that they can cut deep with almost no effort - if you're not scared then you just don't understand how easily they can slice your skin.

Feel the fear and use the knife anyway!
