depends. if your cutting for instance animals skin, it is fairly soft so it will hold an edge. however if hes cutting threw bone then thats another story! by the way any idea on what type steel it is?FREEDOM! I'm not trying to be a jerk, but this thread topic seems identical to your other thread topic, which is currently on page 3.
if you didint want to look like a jerk you should have posted that comment in a more respective manner, however some newer members get their threads removed because they put them in the wrong catygory but this way it dosint matter becuase you can talk about any knife topic in this thread.I'm a new member here myself and yet find it odd that another new member is in here attempting to act as though he's been assigned the task of moving discussion in the General Knife Discussion. Looking at the first three or four pages of the forum, seems like plenty of knife discussion is going on. Also, I find it hard to ascribe any authority or respect towards your statement of "I have six years of knife experience!"
What does that "knife experience" entail exactly? Making knives? Do you have a stack of back issues of Knife Illustrated at your house? Six years of using knives to cut things?
I'm not trying to be a jerk, I just come from the school of thought that new members kind of contribute where they can, not just come in, set themselves up as some sort of knowledgeable authority.
