Gawd I hate Vermont some days! Snowing like crazy, and that haven't even started to plow the highway :( My drive into work was like trying to roller skate on ice.... with idiots driving bumper cars all around you... GRRRRRRRRRR...

snow day today - governor called off all non-essential state employees in and around Topeka, so no commute today. :D
that means I get to use the tractor to dig out the driveway, build a sled hill, etc...
one of the few days a year that justifies the heavy oilskin coat.

Frustrated!! It's Dec in NC Cold yesterday, warmer today, but i'm having to deal with my dogs having FLEAS! Bathed (flea shampoo)them on Friday and sprayed down (flea killer spray stuff) where they sleep really good (basement garage) and still finding a few on them. Repeated the process again last night as well as threw out some Yard bug killer before the rain started.

Any recommendations to get rid of these? This is the first time in 11 years I have had to deal with this.

comfortis. a little spendy but worth it! i think they sell them on pet meds.com

Remember, whatever you do, you might have to do it again in a months time - when the ones hatch that are now eggs ...

It ought to start snowing like a yeti with dandruff in a couple of hours here. Thankfully I have some top-notch snow tires, so my holiday cookie delivery to my folks shouldn't be interrupted. :)

Light snow (got a foot or so last night...)
18 degrees
35-40 mph winds.

Supposed to drop to single digits this afternoon, and into the minuses tonight.

Sitting at home in a tshirt and shorts, dicking around on the internet.

Scratch that. Weather SUCKS out already. Even my snow tires were slipping a little. Got ten feet down the road and turned right around. I'll have to do it later. :p

My Goodyear Wrangler tires have less then 5000 miles on them, and they are just plain AWFUL in this weather.... must have designed the tire for the weather in TX or something.... My Durango was all over the place this AM.

Kids are home from school, youngest was anyways he was headed up to have yet more blood work done, but da wife being smarter then I am rescheduled.

Current weather in the ATL- 67 degrees and sunny. :D It rained like a sumbitch last night, and it's supposed to get down into the 20s tonight and stay there. I may have to ditch out of work and take my son to the park while I have the chance.

That's what was so surprising though! My snow tires usually make me impervious to the kind of snow we get here (which is considerable) but they just felt unsteady in the stuff that's coming down right now. I swear it's Crisco or something!

And Andy--take advantage of that sun! That little guy needs some cheering up after his Santa encounter! :D:thumbup:

Feel bad for you cold weatherr folks. I'm in a tank top and shorts sweating my butt off in texas. So what if I'm at the gym. Its still nice outside :)

Hey--I don't mind the snow. It just teaches you patience and humility. That's why I don't mind that I'll have to wait another few days to pick up mt RAT Pack knife! :p
