My hubby let me chose: leather pants for a knife or a fire bowl ...

I chose the firebowl ...


oh, and by the way ... one of my other international orders is now officially lost ... I hope that is enough sacrifice for the postal gods for this year.

Well that sucks... the lost order, not the firebowl, which is a cool gift... :) I hope the gods take pity on you and release the hostage item, and you remaining orders come thru fine... either that and say the heck with it and just move to the states :)

No idea what I am getting this year in addition to the RP Knife for Xmas, but I have a feeling MrsCoffee and I will be forgoing gifts so we can get stuff for the boys....

Remember, pics will be needed of the firebowl.... :)

That is the plan for the Mrs. and I as well. We are BBEEEEEEEEEEEEROKE!


And yes Kitty, pics of you putting the firepit to good use are mandatory.
 
Oh and by the way, I found a stretch of forest, I might be able to find some fatwood in yesterday. Actually it is a forest I used to play in as a kid when we were visiting our aunt. Just a tad northwards from where we used to play ...

Yup, lots of folks are in the same leaky canoe we are in.... Money sucks this year, but then again, why should this year be different? :)

We should also send thoughts to the 3 American kids who were hiking in Iraq and accidentally crossed into Iran. Iran is calling them spies and holding them.

I hope they are found safe and sound.... some of the comments being made by the readers are brutal.... totally uncalled for too. The world is filling up with Asshats... :(
 
Got a Guyot design backpacker bottle; a Fenix LD20 and a underamour coldwear baselayer for my b-day sat. The baselayer is going to be great come climbing time, im excited to test all these new items out.
