Tripton, I'm with you. If it's cold you just put more layers on. When it gets up to 40C here, the only thing you can do is to put a wet t-shirt on or lather up in SPF 1 million and go to the beach for a swim.

Exactly! If I am cold, I put on layers or simply move around a bit to warm up, even in the coldest weather. The freakin heat just kills me, zaps all the energy out of me and all I want to do is sit, or climb into a very cold pool. Was down in FL at my folks place one August, and it just about killed me to be out doing anything.
 
Snow day. Going to work from home. That is after they get the work servers back up and running. We made an ISP change yesterday and "oh look, we can't receive emails."

I was hoping Mr. Mailman would deliver my Rat Pack today, but alas an empty mailbox. It might be up for sale if it comes the same day as the gas bill. J/k!

That's all very well but it is summer down here so there's not alot I can do other than enjoy it. Besides, I'm used to it now, it's not so bad. (There's supposedly going to be a big cool change on Wednesday anyway)
 
yup.
lotsa cold here.
spent most of last night digging cars out of snow drifts - got home at 5AM.
our road was opened up around 10 AM, and I spent most of the day out on the 5*F temps (before the 25 mph breezes).
I'm tired enough I thought about going to bed without dinner -- but the rest of the household decided I have to at least feed THEM before i can nap.
no bacon, so I'll have to settle for smoked, shredded BBQ pork over rice.
 
Man, that was a good breakfast. 3 cups potatoes O'Brien, half an onion chopped, 3 eggs, all scrambled together in the skillet. Topped with S&P and some hot sauce of course. Mmmmm mmmmm!

I had to eat something while waiting for the mailman.
 
Sigh... got the truckall fixed yesterday, since it had warmed up to the upper 20's. Went to drive to work this am, and got about half to work and the damn thing started pissing antifreeze all over the road.... :/

Time ta look at new rigs I guess, of course I am just paying this one off. :(

Wow adam I thought u were trying to lose weight!? Ditch the potato, butter and up the eggs. Use skim instead of whole milk and you'll be on your way. :)

I dropped 5.3 lbs in 2 days!! I have 5 lbs to go before my final goal in 10 days!

I spent 3 days in an poorly insulated attic, which most are since who in their right mind would want to keep their attic warm, replacing old wiring, and I got to say..... it's cold.

that sucks. i dont like being in the cold if i dont have to.
 
At the end of all the re-wiring up top we went to the breaker box to hook the wires up, it was in the basement and the door to the basement was outside, dirt floor and half dirt half foundation block walls and it was warmer in the basement than in the attic, which shocked me.

that is odd. maybe it was just draftier in the attic.
