Yeah I think I'm going to spend a few days in the Payette River Mountains this weekend. I need to get a packable cooking kit, some food, some whiskey and some 550 chord (about 60 bucks worth of stuff) and I'll be good to go.

Grats buddy. Got a pacific Salt I in the mail today along with another Tenacious. Yes, I hate Tenacious(s) and I don't know why I have a second one. F

Grr I gotta find the instruction booklet for Wisconsin State taxes online so I can finish this crap and get it in the mail, I'm going crosseyed trying to find it.

Funny thing.

I quit smoking last year around the end of September (after smoking for about 10 years).

I just read what Jeff was EDCing today (part of which was Marlboro Lights) and that was enough to make me want to smoke a cig, BAD.

Interesting addiction, it is.

You know the rule......pictures or it didn't happen.

yeah i agree, i have seen people go from a sharpmaker, to strops, to ~$350 dollars diamond stuff! but for me right now this is great!

Keep in mind Gundude.....generally, stropping is like the finishing touches to sharpening a knife. But if you don't dull a knife too badly, stropping is all that's needed to bring it back ....well, maybe a little XFine DMT Diafold treatment, then the strop..........works for me:thumbup:

That may be called a Man Crush.....

Go dry fire an SR9 a few times. That ought to fix the urge pretty good. (The trigger blows.)

I am glad my buddy got one before I did...that way I knew not to get one.

Man I am sure glad Texas doesn't have a State Income Tax (yet). I paid enough to the Federal gov'mint, don't need to pay more to the State (plus the headaches of Yet Another Form to fill out.

In Texas when they were considering adopting state income tax, they decided to go with a state lottery instead, which is great because then all the people who by lottery tickets are the ones paying in :) I've never bought a lotto ticket.

Sure felt good to finally get my taxes done the other day, and for the first time in YEARS I didn't file a form 4868 for automatic extension of time to file :) .

I smoked 2 packs in the last oh... year and a half. I used to smoke 2-3 cigarettes, Marlboro red 100's, before going down on a UXO or IED, and other than work didn't smoke period. At the time I was consuming maybe 3-4 packs a week and still don't consider myself a smoker at that time. Now every once in a while when I'm feeling nostalgic and missing my old job I'll pull out a stale 100 and smoke it down in three drags like I used to.

The Colt did its job just fine. As well as the factory Colt 10mm mag. The Cobra Tripp mag which retails for $35  was a piece of crap. After I fired the last round once, the follower somehow came out of the feed lips and got caught by the slide. And if you smack the mag in to make sure its seated the base plate slides off and all its guts + ammo falls onto the ground. I will be buying and testing out the Wilson Combat mag. I love their 45 mags so hopefully their 10mm mags work the same.

The only thing I don't like about this Delta Elite is the previous owner put a full length guide rod in it which I HATE. A GI standard plug and guide will be ordered promptly as well as a Wilson Combat drop in beavertail.
Probably order me some custom VZ Micarta grips and have them engrave the Delta Elite logo onto them, either that or Alumigrips.

Other than that it ran beautifully. Recoil wasn't much more than 45acp even shooting some hot loads. Course recoil doesn't bother me in the slightest so no biggie.

VZ grips are awesome. Sounds like it'll be a sweet piece, series 80 Delta Elite with Wilson Combat goodies and VZ grips... can't wait to see the finished product.
