Ibought a Koster bushcrafter blank in 3v, Hubs (mr shotgunner 11) was kind enough to send me a chunk of cocobolo which I crafted into a handle. He should be receiving the handled koster via mail soon; he will be making me badass sheath for it. Then it will be shipped off to texastony (who was the original source, inspiring me to get a Koster.) so he can play around with it and tell me of how I marred the blade surface because of my noob sanding techniques :P And finally it should come back home to me.
 
Maybe shotty will post some up for me, if not then I will once it returns.

So far though, that blade is a great feeling blade; just thich enough but not to thick (to thick in my opinion is a Bravo1, for reference purposes)
That steel takes some muscle to sharpen but it takes a clean sharp edge. I need to invest in a good set of diamond stones is what im thinking.
 
I walked 4 miles one way to the UPS depot yesterday to see where my package is as they have been screwing me around, saying the address is wrong, my house does not exist etc. since the 9th of April. They said the package was out for delivery but the driver wanted written instructions (as if google maps wasn't easy enough? He's got a damn GPS unit glued to his dashboard...) and confirmed my address was correct. I was told it would be on my porch first thing in the morning. I spent 4 hours sitting on the porch waiting for the UPS truck to show up. Low and behold it does, the driver has been on the same route for 4 years and knows my landlord on a first name basis. He brought a package for my landlord, but not for me, and confirmed he knew this address and its location by heart. SO... UPS has been jerking me around for almost a week now, caused me to walk 8 miles taking 2 hours of my time and on creaky arthiritic legs, plus 3 days of wasted time waiting on the damn package and trying to figure out where it is. #1, I'm never using UPS again, #2, I'm never using CampSmarter again (it has officially been 4.5 months since I placed my order) and #3 I'm about ready to sue the shit out of UPS for time lost (@12 dollars an hour) pain and suffering, the cost of my items shipped plus interest and #4 I have no beaters to take backpacking and it's 65 degrees and cloudless outside... my mountains are calling me...
 
nope, the status on shipping today is that they're trying to find another viable address for the knives. My guess is tomorrow they'll be sent back to campsmarter, or they will stop trying to deliver it period. It's OK though as of 7PM if the package isn't on my porch tonight I'm reporting this to the Better Business Bureau. I could be camping tonight, it's 65 degrees and cloudless.
 
i would also post that in the GB&U forum, sounds like campsmarter should be avoided. hope it works out.
 
THE ADDRESS LABEL IS MISSING OR ILLEGIBLE / DELIVERY RESCHEDULED this is their new excuse. Pretty crazy how much bullshit they can come up with as to why my package has been sitting in town for 6 days and has not been delivered yet.

Condor Rodan, Bushlore, RAT1 Ranger Shank Condor Bolo 14 inch Condor Kukhri, another Buck Paklite skinner cuz I love it so much, a Buck Daimondback Omnipoint... is that all? I think so... hmm that might not be all but you get the drift.
 
I saw a black guy in Idaho once, he wasn't even on campus. We don't have any of those crazy confederate rednecks either but I'm pretty sure the state is at least 99% white.
