lol, the Mrs has the spins huh? that sucks, cranberry juice followed by copious ammounts of water is my cure, though thankfully I didn't have much of a hangover this morning. Man, yesterday was a blast. I think we need more non-official drinking days. How come there's no big Norwegian holidays that are celebrated in the US? We could sing songs about valhalla, roast a carribou on a spit and drink meade! that would be a fun holiday. Unfortunately I think the only time that ever happens is Renaisance Fairs, and there's alot of stupid gayness that goes on at those things.
I have most of a gallon of mead in the fridge, so am cool with nordic drinking holidays so long as they don't involve lutefisk.

man it is starting to get too warm here, and another  day :D
it hit 65 here today - I was stuck inside the office all day.
tomorrow is supposed to be 64 with thunderstorms all afternoon becoming snow after sunset with 2" of accumulation by sunrise Saturday.

On the plus side, I fixed the furnace after work, so we won't wake up to frost inside the house... (I hate plumbing...)

do you make your own mead...or do you buy it....i have seen it made..but i would like to find some i can buy to compare it to what i have tasted in the past......

aye, where do you get it? the liquor shop doesn't sell any around here. I'm looking for lefse making recipes right now, I guess I need to go out and buy a potato ricer...

I used to make my own, but this is a batch a buddy of mine made - it was a bit sweet when I got it from him, so it's aging in the back of the fridge.
If you're looking at a liquor store, it'll be in the wine section.
stay away from "Chaucer's mead" - it's nasty.

if you want to make your own, I can email you some fairly detailed instructions.
a 5 gallon batch will use at least a gallon of honey, though, so it's not cheap to make.
