Anything wrong with these knives I just finished?

Hank, those knives look real nice,as well as your photography,I think sales are very dependant on location, some parts of the country are hot spots ,maybe get a web site up i think you,ll do much better.

I really like the first knife. I wonder if they have a preference to a thinner guard? (If I'm using the right term. See thread about David Kelly's knife - the red mallee one IIRC.)

They look great and extremely well made to me, but I personally am not all that wild about antler handles. That's as close to criticism as I can come and perhaps others have similar tastes???

Buy a knifemaker or platinum membership here and list them in the For Sale forum.

If all you got was a "Ho-Hum", then perhaps that is the only two words they can put into a sentence. Ya gotta watch those Georgia boys. They will give you a "Ho-Hum", then run home and try to make one just like it.:D

Great looking work from where this Alabama boy sits.

Thanks for sharing, and keep up the good work.

I think they're fine knives. But you came here looking for constructive criticism, so I'll dish it out:

The handle/guard/blade transition on the bowie is a little odd looking. Sort of "not well resolved" and pinched looking. If you were to look at just the blade, would you expect to see that handle sticking to it? There's no "flow". Still, it is a fine knife I'd love to own.

Of the two hunters, the one on the bottom is a bit strangely proportioned and the guard is kind of clunky next to the small blade. The four materials you chose to sit next to each other aren't "talking the same language" as cohesively as they could. They don't clash, but they're not working with each other either.

I think the knife on the top looks really good.

Sometimes when I'm designing something, it helps to pause for a while and come back to it fresh. It is difficult to look at something objectively without fresh eyes. Look at these knives a year from now and I'll bet they look different to you.

Anyway, these are great knives. Thanks for posting.

So is this knife club in south Georgia full of gays guys that don't apprieciate great work or what? Dam, I am probably being politically incorrect, again. How interesting

Naw, they are all a great bunch of guys...wouldn't hesitate to help me and give me the shirt off their back at anytime.

I'll work on that flowing and resolving stuff Nathan....I appreciate the comments.

Y'all take care

Maybe the "ho-hum" is because these are really traditional patterns that everyone knows.

Maybe some of the guys aren't crazy about some of the spacer materials. Maybe the stag. Maybe the polish, or the type of grind. Sometimes it takes one tiny detail to turn off certain buyers.

If I were you, I'd keep on doing what you're doing. These are absolutely fantastic knives. Very clean work. Get set up with a website, and a seller account here on Bladeforums, and I think those knives should be flying out of your hands as fast as you can produce them. You have 2 pages of responses here and not one of them yet has been a ho-hum. Imagine if you had these for sale on this site!

Everyone else is just being nice! Ship them to me and I will keep them up here in CT. so you do not have to think about them! Beautiful knives

Sorry, he won't be able to do that, because I'm pretty certain that he is going to send them to me.

Because, I think they are beautiful! Ooooh! Aaaah! I love them!

Seriously though, they look great. I would be proud to create two such functional works of art. Don't worry about lack of response from others. Create for yourself. You just showed them off to the wrong crowd.
