First, please no negative comments (although I do not deserve to write that), I am seriously embarrassed and appalled with myself and it's taken some time for me to even man up and post again. I thought at first, the most respectful thing would be to dissolve into anonymity, I then however realized how much I love this place and think highly of this crew, I decided to suck it up and face the firing squad. If you can't do the time, don't do the crime.

Secondly, I know this doesn't excuse anything but I don't even remember posting that thread, I had downed several beers and popped an Ambien to go to sleep. I went to work the next morning, didn't even know I posted something then saw to my total aghast, the sheer *@^# that I had spewed. I would like to say I was writing what I wrote as some had conjectured to "rattle the cage" however I don't remember even posting it so I can't lie and say that was my intent, I really don't know.

Lastly, I would like to ask if you all would forgive and forget, however I would settle for simple forgiveness first. Anyhoo, believe me when I say this was an EXTREMELY difficult thread for me to write, and I am truly and humbly requesting for the groups understanding.

Hey man, it's cool. I don't think many people took your post seriously. You have shown a lot of character by choosing to apologize. :thumbup:
 
I've only been lurking 'round these parts lately because my schedule is so darn hectic right now. I completely missed the original thread, so I went back a read it now (all three pages of it). IMO, your post came off a tad abrasive, but certainly nothing that required such repentance. I personally find it admirable however, that you would come and post an apology as sincere as that. It takes a real man (or woman) to admit when they're wrong...especially publicly!

Good on you, bro!

Am I missing something? What are you apologizing for? Grow a pair. You politely asserted your opinion based on a perception and it harmed no one. In fact, it was entertaining and it made people laugh! Personally, I'm delighted that I was able to share a laugh with Ethan Becker.
Allow me to assert MY opinion. IMHO this type of communal reparte is EXACTLY why online forums were created in the first place. Everyone who posted in that thread did so as a valid contributor and a welcome participant. It was fun, and I hope for all our sakes that you are not deterred from posting your views again.
 
We all do and say things that we wish we didn't.
At least you were able to step up and see what you did and apologize. But hey we all step on toes at some point. Things can be lost in translation on the interwebz also.

It takes balls to apologise, even if some feel no wrong was done.
 
that's cool, man. half the time i'm drunk when i'm posting here and i've had my share of posts where i felt like i was harsh or acted like an a-hole the next day reading what i wrote..the thing is, as long as you post how you honestly feel about something (unless it's just to explicitly rile someone up) then it's fine by me.
 
It does take balls to apologise. It also takes balls NOT to apologise. My point is, in this case no apology is necessary because there was no harm done in the first place. Who was wronged?
 
Hmmm, missed something. :confused: Are you already a Beckerhead, or are you using this as one of your 5 worthy threads to become one? :D

Yeah, man. Don't even worry about it. Some people seemed to have been bothered by it, but it was totally cool. I think your negativity and aversion to the BK5 is far more offensive ;). I think you need to buy us all a round of Neckers.

Seriously, man. Good on you for apologizing. That is hard to do, but I really didn't think for a second that there was anything wrong with your post.
