Hi everybody ,
First , I must admit that I tend to spend too much time surfing lots of forums of different subjects , mostly regarding my hobbies and such , and some regarding my way of making a living (sound engineer) . Some are Israeli forums and most are international/US in origin .
This is the first time I encountered a thread that would flame any other forum that I know to ashes , but instead , was handled by everybody here with respect and civilized conversation . Not only that , the OP came out and apologized ! Where I come from , doing this is way worse then flaming a forum ... it will send the apologizer straight to wuss hell - forever !
Not only that , all the other communities I'm spending my sleep time on , will be considered by the common person as more "intellectual" then knife discussion , dealing with aviation , photography , sound engineering etc. All those "intellectual places" would have burst into flames with foul language and everything if a thread like Arkanian originally posted was posted there .(Some of them regularly do that without any regulation) .
My friends and family will regard my knife interest as weird or scary , to the point that I hold it as my "secret hobby" . I will confess that sometimes even I feel uncomfortable with my knife interest , because of my surroundings and the fact that I grew up where knives are for the kitchen and for criminals... Well , now you people made me way more comfortable with myself !

The OP in question still may not escape Wuss Hell! I for one will give him a chance to avert future disaster, and hey thanks to everyone for tolerating my dry sarcastic sense of humor. It never seems to translate very well in text!
 
I wasn't going to reply to this thread, however...

I realized that if I ever want credibility in my posts, I had to own up which if it meant well, being a wuss... #@(*, I'll take it. I will however state my balls are fully functional and I have a knife in hand so ;)
 
Good explanation - thanks for that. So my big take away is that you'd have to be on drugs to prefer the ESEE 5 over the BK2. :D

Coincidentally, I guess so because I have no intentions for overpaying for a knife. I may drop coin but not stupidly. Speaking of which, where's that ugly BK5? Maybe we can put some lipstick on that pig...

No biggie and nothing to think twice about. You've given us some great pics of your blades in action and I can't wait to see some more. And Ambien Walrus might be the funniest thing I've seen in awhile, right up there with any LOLcat.

I've never seen that Walrus before but it's hysterical. Since I've come to know you guys a bit, I'll share another embarrassing tidbit, my first child was conceived while I was on Ambien. Barely remembered it like a dream, then a while later my wife up and said on April 1, 2006 "I'm not pregnant. Not. April Fools!"

hmm, aviation, photography, and sound falls into intellectual conversation category:confused::p I do remember most people you seen with a knife (typically a Buck 110) was a biker, back when bikers mostly fell into the Hells Angels category, yeah you know the stereotype.. You need a knife sometimes to route snakes, split cords, mate and solder, so whats the problem if you have a machete on your side while doing sound??:p BTW, I have a question about condensers I'll email you..

I wouldn't say you'd be overpaying for that knife, its just some like it some don't..I'm one that doesn't..but I like/have esee as a whole.. to be quite honest I wouldn't even look at a Becker over a year ago as I thought they were extremely fugly.. but now they've grown on me.. kinda like Glock has over the last 7 or so years...;)

Dude, I'm concerned for you.. please don't take this wrong but that was YEARS ago.. and you're still on them.. My brother in law takes them like candy and has the worse sleep problems because of them, they barely effect him anymore..

you should start trying melatonin and other natural ways to make you sleepy, sorry if I've come off crazy, just throwing that out there.. I for one LOVE ambien..;)
