Apology to Jerry Busse

Rob, you are being nice and I get that. But all you did was defend the brand against a liar. So don't worry about it. To me it was like swatting a fly, then having a shot of whiskey, with a giggle

No apologies necessary.

It's great to see the passion that you guys have for Busse blades. . .. We share the same passion.

INFI has stood unchallenged by any other manufacturer for 17 years. . .

We did the "LIVE" demonstrations to eliminate the enormous amount of hot air that used to float around the forums. . . . For the most part, it worked.

Let's get back to drinking!

Jerry
:D

Cool Jerry!!

Thanks man. Then I'll feel comfortable to post performance related comparisons here on the Busse Combat sub forums. I think it would be fun and informative for a lot of people on the fence about dishing out the big bucks for the Busse blades. Right on brother --- drink yourself into Oblivion -- cheers!

Lol you're right Cobalt --- I'm a professional fly squatter by the way --- I just lure them in first by telling them how pretty their great big red eyes are -- before I SMACK some sense into them ;)

Rob,

I was only teasing, just fun poking' at the whole Kool-aid thing…. ;)

Gotchya Brochacho --- then pleasure ignore my reply and let's get back to bashing things with sharp knives that have smooth transitions from primary grinds to secondary grinds ;)

You know -- I like beer too --- juuuust saying

I was merely agreeing with the contemptuous treatment of garbage trolls. I want to find one of those garbage knives and destroy it with my MOABM.

If anyone knows the cheapest place to get one let me know...

Q: What other brand of knife would you attempt to do this with, and have NO fear about your knife breaking?

A: None other than Bussekin. :D

And yes, I made it all the way through that piece (twice), and twice through the other piece still laying on the ground (to the left) too. And the wood was still a bit wet. Camping with the 1311.

Holy HELL!! That 1311 must have taken a beating to get through those gnarly pieces. Any after action pics?

Oh yeah, I beat her like a rented mule in the Grand Canyon on a hot summer day! :D No shots afterward, it was dark by the time I was finished and the two pieces were just split into 4 quarters. By then it was time to enjoy the campfire that followed.

Sometime during the trip after that one, I did manage to develop a bit of a wave in about 1/2" of the blade, from the edge to about 1/4" up. :( Must have been one of the bad knots in the pre-packaged Forest Service bettle-kill pine that they were selling at the campground. Honestly, after the hell I've put this blade through recently (pics above, and some well-seasoned Mesquite too, below), I'm shocked that some basic pine caused it some damage. Edge is still sharp as can be though, and I suspect I can roll the wave back flat with the rest of the edge if I'm careful. Still need to hit up the shop for advice on what to do with it for sure.

Shots of the Mesquite:

My apologies as well, just thought I'd seek help against what I was interpreting as slander against my favorite fixed blades.

Dude, what the hell did you use as a baton? It takes a boat load of force to push that blade all the way through the big log. The 1311 is the deal of the year these days. I noticed that they don't go for a lot of money, but they are huge.

I have several, and I might let them go......................................

IF or WHEN Busse makes me a satin or double-cut B13 from INFI. Maybe Dan could score some INFI from Jerry and release the 1311 LE.

I can see that happening............................................ IN TWO WEEKS!!!
