Apparently I hit a nerve with the 'supermod' Esav as it appears HE is from 'Jerzee'. Don't hate me for that dude. There are good people there, just a bad state gov't. And yes Samael, there are a bunch of commies up there, the reason this is even a discussion. You can't buy a knife if you are under 18? WTF?

You can rationalize it all you want, but it is a crock, and you guys that get all smarmy about you can't do this and can't do that need to get a grip. So quick to scream 'It's illegall!". Those arcane laws are rarely enforced and meaningless. The guy from England that started the thread of course has concerns, because he has to have a permit in England to own that type of knife! Crazy. The Brits let it happen to them, and this kind of talk lends support to that drum beat in the USA. Just like firearms cause shootings, knives cause stabbings. The hell with any personal accoutability.

Finally, Esav sent me a pm chasitising me for referencing NJ with the term
sh!t. Wow. The hypcorisy is flowing freely here as this that was posted by Ron M80:

Wow. Selective enforcement is hypocritical and disengenuous as my comment isn't in the same ball park in comparison to ron M80. Problem is, the guy missed the point all together. It doesn't suprise me with the intellect (or lack there of) that presents itself with fervent regularity on BladeForums.

Now, THAT should constitute a pm wouldn't you say. Oh, I know, I will get banned for this, but that is to be expected. No moderator is going to stand up and do the right thing.

My intentions were clear. Make a statement, back it up. Nothing more or less. So it escalates to this crap.

Appearances are deceiving. I'm from NY. I live in NJ now and spelled it Jerzee as a tip of the hat to my friend Ron LaBella who runs the Jerzee Devil forum.

Spark, this is what happens when someone takes more pleasure in baiting other members than in discussing knives. I dinged him for getting combative and he responded in the wrong forum, so I moved it here.

I should have moved a copy of the directions I left there; I think I will now.

I do not think he is capable of leaving some members (especially Sheldon) alone.

Mmmm, mmmm, mmmm. Now Melvin is in the mix. He is another that makes statements, allot of them, and can't back them up. It is funny how the interpretation of posts is so dramatically different from member to member. I suppose some meaning may be lost due to the format, but I would like to belive that it isn't that difficult.

On the note about vulgarity. The nebbish comments by Ron M80 were, well, dumb? He said something and was asked to back it up. If you can't then attack. If that is the case, then take the easy road and don't participate and risk it. There are plenty of picayune individuals on the forums - like Bastid for example - that can't refrain from inane commentary.

New Youk, New Jersey, it doens't matter. Their laws suck. Period. If you say otherwise, you are lying.

And finally, that is exactly where I want to be Esav, in a forum with nimrods cussing at each other in an effort to get a point across. Now that IS special. Yeah, that's the ticket.

By the way, I am not impressed by you either. I don't really care but if I did, you would be extremely disappointing. You shouldn't abuse your 'power' as a supermoderator to protect your cronies. I guess that is how it works in Jerzee.

You have no idea how those laws came about or what kinds of law really suck. New York, New Jersey, are paradise compared to what my own family lived with three generations back. Everything is context. You need to develop perspective.

ron was incorrect regarding any federal regulations, and admitted as much. i'm a regular in the knife laws forum and its purpose is to interpret and publish, not make commentary on whether we like or dislike any particular law, state, or country. that type of discussion typically goes poorly.

the problem with your posts is the antagonistic position you take. general discussion forums are not the place for such attitudes.



the question i have for you is: how are you able to quote a post from a forum you are not authorized to enter?

Ahh, but I do know how those laws came about, I know all about your (mine) ancestors, and NY and NJ laws do in fact suck. Let's not have that escalate into a debate about reparations for slavery or if marihuana should be legalized.

As for picking a fight with anyone much less a "supermod", whatever that is, I disagree. My point is so simple it is difficult to fathom anyone doesn't get it. The problem is people tend to spout off about which they know little. It is so easy to do sitting in anonymity behind a keyboard. If you make a statement, be prepared to back it up, with FACTS, not supposition or parables. I fail to see why that is a problem.

Yes, ron M80 did say he 'misspoke', a popular term in the Northeast and Kali. I wasn't looking for an admission, but if in fact he did some research and found a federal law prohibiting the sale of kinves to minors. He took it as an affront to his credibilty. Perhaps he was embarassed, I don't know. The reaction from others is what was troubling as evidenced by these latest contributions by other members of the herd:

Ron M80 is a big boy, if he has something to say, say it where everyone can read it. Don&#8217;t hide behind the secret handshake. He sure grew some cahones when he didn&#8217;t think I could read it. That&#8217;s is ok though. He feels better now.

All in all, this has been no real fun. The predation by the herd when the power structure is questioned is clearly evident. No one comes up with real answers, just bullying and vapid rhetoric attacking the one asking the questions.
