Double whammy for me, I forgot to check the feedback on the guy I was trading with for the m390 Millie. Yeh I just checked it after I shipped. He has zero feedback. I'm such a dumbass. Too much on my mind and it may end up costing me. Fml

damn dude. it aint your week.

Just fixed the mall cruiser. My wife was stranded at the store and I popped the hood to see the battery cable clamp had snapped in half. Nice.

In other news, my son decided to be like dad and grabbed my Canon 7D. Shoved the card in wrong and bent my card reader pins. What a day....

Nice haul there, Bladite! I'm pretty tempted by the chop stick, though I have no practical reason for it!

i was enamored of the chopstick when i saw it at Blade last year as a proto. it's BEASTLY. a few mods, and it's almost a tactool on steroids :)

the new Machax sheath, AND even the KaBar Combat Khukri has slots for that...

and the sheaths are nearly identical, but have some slight differences.

even the large knives could swap sheaths...

need more remoras ;)

yeah right. Like I have any factory sheaths! I have a pile of 11/14 sheaths I need to dispose of, and a BK2 sheath I'm cannibalizing for parts. Otherwise...bye-bye factory sheaths, hello kydex and leather.

Somewhere there is a tutorial by Godspeed on how to melt down the factory BK11/14 sheaths and mold some cool new ones.

There are how-to threads for that too if you're stumped. Moose could probably talk you through it, but maybe you should stick with bic and gasoline.

Sooooo quick poll, Best steel for a large chopper like 12 inches plus. no supersteels like infinisteel please because I cant afford them ..lol

1095 or properly treated 5160. Any harder and your asking for trouble and chipped edges.

Unload, dis-assemble, and remove Hogue grip.

Next you wipe the area that the grips will stick to down with rubbing alcohol. Remove the backing from the grips and carefully start putting them on. You start with the left side and then wrap around the back, to the other side, and around the front. I did it slowly and made sure not to get any air bubbles under the grips. There was a tiny bit of overlap when the two ends met that I could have cut off a little better and gotten then ends closer together. Didn't get any pics of the process cuz, well, I only have two hands. Once they are on the directions say to warm them up with a blow dryer and press the grips into the gun to get them to mold to it.

After the grips are on, relube, re-assemble, reload, and take pictures.

Overall, for $10.99 shipped, I'm really liking them. They are rubbery and improve the grip a lot over stock. They also cover the very agressive texture on the backstrap that tends to eat the web of your hand up. I'll see how they last over time. These things are really sticky, so I'm thinking they will stay for quite a while.

Mystic custom knife show this weekend!
Who's going?

thats pretty sweet Wildcat..How do u like the Kahr? I have handled them, seem OK but I've never shot one.

LOVE the Kahr. Its a great shooter, nice smooth trigger, and pretty darn accurate. At the range we have some 6" plates set up at 25 yards. I can knock all six of them down in a row, no problem. Its nice and slim and carries well in an IWB holster. I loved the stock sights, but wanted a set of night sights for it, so as soon as Trijicon released them I bought a set and had Kahr install them. For a small gun the grip is nice too. I can get a good grip on it and control muzzle flip pretty easily. Kahr has a reputation for some malfunctions, but in the 1,000 or so rounds that I have through it in the last few years the only two hiccups were due to some primers that weren't fully seated in some Hornady ammo. I shoot 124gr +p through it regularly along with my own handloads and the recoil isn't bad at all. I'd definitely recommend one.
