How are you packing the boxes? What kind of boxes and tape?

What kind of condition is the box in when it got there?

Two flat rate boxes, two padded envelopes, and a regular box. Clear packing tape. The most recent ones are sliced open. Hell the guy today said all he got was the top of the box with the label. No box. Like really? Wtf? I'm gonna ask for a pic. Brb

thats insane, JUST the TOP!!!??? How the hell does that not attract attention from all the other workers who had to handle that ''package'' afterwards at all the other stations???

Ohh, that explains it. I was wondering when we annexed the entirety of the great lakes and moved them south.
 
Spent a couple hours at the Mystic Knife Show this afternoon.
Lots of very well known custom makers, several from this forum. What a treat.

Also, and relevent in this context, I got to handle at a vendor's table:
Esee 3,4,5,6,J
BHK Bushy, small Bushy, Nessie, and some others
Bark River Aurora, Fox River, others

Thoughts:
Essee 3 is nice. The 4 is ok, but leaves me cold. The 5 is bleh compared to the BK2. The 6 is AWESOME. The Junglas is likewise awesome.

The BHK Nessie is very friendly in the hand. The others don't do it for me, but a couple of the little guys are sweet

The Bark Rivers aren't bad at all. Handles smaller than I expected, a bit square.

This weekend is turkey season here in the La Moine River Valley. My uncle came to the farm for the weekend and bought one of his buddies who had never been turkey hunting..
Well my uncle got a turkey, and I let him use my Eskabar to process it.
His friend asked what kind of knife it is, I told him.
He said,"Yeah, I thought so, my friend owns that company."
"Holy shit, man. Are you serious?"
"Yeah, he took me to Blade Show a couple years ago."
So that led to a nice conversation about knives.
It is strange how the internet makes the world so much smaller.

That's not bad packing, that looks like outright theft! I'm SHOCKED that they sent a claim form rather than a letter which says: "Your package appears to have been cut open and stolen. We are handling this as follows...".

Thats insane man....and it doesn't look like it was ripped off, looks cut off...someone is dicking with your packages man...is there any kind of official complaint process you can go through?

That's how some of my boxes have been arriving but with a DHS inspection sticker. Smacks of such big brotherism and who's to say if anything if items go missing, look at how shady some TSA employees are. Clear tape. SMH.

US Customs uses identity tape, with an insert and docs inside as well. Sometimes they call (the inquisition) in advance to advise the package is being held/inspected. Since they're a taxing authority with checks and balances I trust them more to not rip me off anonymously.
