  • Today marks the 24th anniversary of 9/11. I pray that this nation does not forget the loss of lives from this horrible event. Yesterday conservative commentator Charlie Kirk was murdered, and I worry about what is to come. Please love one another and your family in these trying times - Spark

One explanation...if the box was smashed, torn and empty...a employee could have sliced the top off to make it easier to reship it on down the line. The mail has to be delivered, and a torn smashed box would be a headache in the sorting machines. That looks like a box-cutter was used.

Whipped this up for my brother's new Case today, kinda quick and dirty...prolly find a better (swiveling clip) cell case to do Version 2 with.

Works great, real comfy carry..great retention. Hillbilly Engineering at it's finest!

I really like that Police Blue kydex...glad I let him talk me into ordering it

Dude, this shipping shenanigan is upsetting, and I'm not even involved...

I hope that, somehow, it gets sorted out for the better.

I've take to taping across the big flats of the boxes and around the ends and sides to make sure that the box isn't gonna just pop open. I've also started wrapping the contents in a few layers of newspaper or shipping paper and taping it up. Then I tape that to the actual box its shipping in and then surround it with filler material.

So, downtown St. Louis (where I live) just got pounded by mother nature like we paid for it! Tornadoes, hail, lightening, thunder. It was pretty bawss! But only cause I live in a loft building that is 130+ years old so it's all brick and steel, and I have double pane windows that are thicker than Halle Berry's thighs!

Someone in the closest recieving center is examining your packages (no jokes, please), and taking what he wants.

Whatever the closest sorting center is, more than likely.

With the delays you have seen in the past, missing shipments, he's found out that your packages contain something he wants.

I think he plays with them for a few days, then either repacks them and sends them on, or keeps them and sends a shitwrecked box.

I just won a Blackjack tactool that was bought new in '96 and been in a safe since for 75 bones....I think i did good....

That's an awesome deal Greybush!

Clich, you might want to start using a different name or address on your return labels. See if it makes any difference.

oh yes! once u shoot a Kimber...the other 1911s just dont seem the same! I made the mistake of shooting a few...now I aint content until I buy one for myself...keep passing up other brands.

having shot a bunch, and then shot a Springfield TRP, well, boy howdy. it's like a target match gun that shoots giant bullets. shame it's only 8 rounds, but you can bullseye at 33 feet easy.

personally, my goal is 50 yd bullseye pistol in the near future. reset all my short term 25 yd goals :)

then i'll try that 1911 at 25 yds. i expect nothing less than perfetion :D

Was looking for a good little single AA light, and I settled on the Fenix E11.
Didn't cost an arm and a leg and appears to be a solid performer.
Plus I still had some dividend left, and REI stocks it.

Yeah, I came to same conclusion as Moose while reading your shipping stories. Send a few packages with a different return address and see if they get opened up.

Or coat everything inside your package with ink, and look for mail sorters with stained fingers. :D

Oh dear lord, the bottle opener is loose in the wild?
Tampering with the US Mail is a felony, yes? I be there's somebody who would REALLY like to help you catch the bastard who's into your packages... Just gotta find out how to contact this person or agency...

Does any else ever scroll all the way back to the top of the page to look at Thrillbilly's avatar just one more time? Me neither, I was just wondering.;)
