it took me 14 years to get the patina on mine...and I occasionally remove some of it with a wirebrush.... ;)
your GEC does look pretty cool tho...what'd u use for the patina?

I stuck it in a half-dry orange and left it for a few hours. I'm not big on forcing patinas on pocketknives, but the bullnose was developing a weird whitish patina that looked exactly like it came from greasy fingers. It was bothering me so I gave the orange a try and it turned out super neat. My GEC Conductor has an honestly-earned grey patina that looks really nice but I can't for the life of me get a decent photo.
 
Went to the local gun show yesterday. Saw some beckers and Ka-bars for sale. Pretty overpriced but that was expected. Lots of crappy 1$ folders some more high end stuff but not much. It's always fun to go look at all of the stuff regardless. Cool to see some Becker's out there though.
 
I'm with Tanner..no buying knives until the Gathering! ...maybe. I dont know if I can last that long
 
Becker social group is 3 away from 400. We've kicked the shit out of the other fan groups in terms of numbers.

SO, I just remembered I don't have ANY money in my knife fund till the gathering... I had to pay off a suit. Granted it's gonna be a BAMF suit. Custom made and all that crap.
