I'm both, as long as they're willing to behave themselves and not claw up the couch, pee on the carpet, or dig up the lawn. My Maine Coon is a wonderful mouser, a total goofball, affectionate, and very wary whenever I get out the Lansky. Maybe the "whisk, whisk" whetstone sound reminds him of something he heard at the vet right before getting neutered. On the other hand, when I play with my PST II or Big SAK he jumps in my lap and HAS to see what I'm doing. All those shiny things!

I like cats.
With a nice teriyaki or szechuan sauce.

I like dogs too.
Had one overseas that was breaded and deep fried.

Dog man here.

Cats should not be allowed to live amongst us.

I love dogs! Especially big dogs. There is a very adorable young Great Dane in my neighborhood.

Cats are okay but not as great as dogs.

I can see I'm gona get into trouble here, but just so everyone knows it's in good fun. I like them both! My dogs have to be working breeds....my current is an 8 year old black lab who still waterfowl hunts like she was a pup. There are a couple of things I like about cats......They make great coyote bait, and it's fun to watch the dogs chase them. Oh yea, I forgot....they also are great for target practice. Just so everyone knows , I don't do those things to cats, I'm just not as fond of them as some folks. In fact, I'm a strong member of PETA (People for Eating Tasty Animals)

Misque, that's gross! I am a dog person myself. I love them incredibly. I like cats but am deathly allergic to them, so I can't even be in the same room.

Dogs are great pets.
Cats are...Well, for other things!

I can't stand cats. I am allergic to them.

I had the greatest dog in the world, once. He was a Wire Haired Fox Terrier named Rambo.

After 14 1/2 years I had to put him to sleep last week. One of the saddest days of my life. I feel like I have buried a son. No greater love have I ever had for a animal. I'll always love that boy.

Thanks Chiro!
I like dogs and it was, shall we say, a drunken accident, that I ate one. Well the hind leg of one really...don't ask.

Sorry to hear about your dog. I have a smooth hair Fox Terrier named Ruger best damn dog I've had. And I have had some good Labs.

Cats are likable. A good dog however is like a good friend irreplacable.

I have a dog and two cats.
The cats were inherited in the divorce. I'm allergic to them, but I'm also responsible to them. They live outside, have a entrance to the garage, and are well taken care of.
My dog is my love.
"Toby" is a 2 year old Japanese Chin ( also inherited). It doesn't matter where he came from. He adopted me from the instant the X brought him home as a pup.
Cool 12 lb. dog. great indoor pet and good company too.
Toby is the first dog to get my heart after my German Police died about 12 years ago.
I bought him his own Spyderco Mini-Police neclace

I like cats and dogs. My girlfriend has the cutest Devon Rex I've ever met. My dog Jacob (Belgian Malinois) however, likes cats, small dogs, and burglars. For Breakfast.

Bill,
I tried to resist. I really did.
But, I gotta know... What does your dog use his Spyderco Mini-Police for?

Does he clean his nails?
Cut up his Milk-bones?
Free himself from his leash while your at work?!

Oh wait! I know!
He digs out ticks with it, right?

Man, we gotta get some more cat people in here...

I like some dogs, but in general they're a little too simplistic, unsubtle, and dumb. Good cats are more like little furry people, they're companions and friends. I've met a lot more cats that I like than dogs.

Cats are sensitive to how you're feeling, dogs can pant, cats can curl up with you and purr to keep you company, dogs can drool, cats are curious and want to be a part of what you are doing (sometimes even helping you type), dogs can bark... cats are friends, dogs are beasts.

Not that I have any personal opinions on this subject, mind you

My wife and I have a room-mate, he pretty much runs the place, lets us feed and amuse him;
And we LIKE it!
Obviously we are also cat people.
But have no grudge against the Canine tribe.

DOG'S, DOG'S, DOG'S. The bigger, the better. The UPS man doesn't have to toot his horn, because my dog's let me know he's coming from about 1/4 mile away, and he knows to stay in the truck until I come out of the house.

They also make great burglar alarms, and any burglar dumb enough to attempt to get past about 300lbs of dogs, deserves everything he gets.

P.S.- I like cats too.....Ummm, good eatin.

Oh, there are others, I know, but I grew up with Springers and they just seem the best to me.

Love em both. If I was in the woods, give me a rot or lab. Cats are neat too, but not as reliable as a dog.
