Just got a stainless Endura and the box is printed in China.

Is this OK?

Thanks

I have the White FRN endura. Purchased from NGK.

My box says printed in china.
The blade SEKI-CITY JAPAN.

outsourcing printing to China in many instances actually works out cheaper (and this includes the cost of freight it over as well!), when compared to having such material printed domestically...go figure!

Hi Lavan,

Our retail outlets wanted "nicer" packaging. I don't like putting a buch of money into a box that will be thrown away. So we compromised.

Sal,

If it makes you feel better, I have never thrown away a Spyderco box.
I have three boxes of knife boxes.

add me to the list, i always keep the boxes. If it came in that awful blisterpack plastic then I'd dump it.

I keep all of my boxes too.
Where would my Spydies sleep if I threw the boxes away?:p

Go back to the grey box if it keeps it made in the USA.

I would rather have you send it in a paper lunch bag than have it printed in China.

This also explains why the red paint seems to be showing up on the handles of a lot of the knives I get in the new boxes. At least the knives that don't have a plastic bag blister pack around them.

It's just so hard for me to grasp that it's cheaper to have something printed in China and shipped over here than it is to just have it done here. Wow.

I would not mind seeing Spyderco go to a one size fits most white box like CRK uses.
