Are you a Bladeforums addict?

I have a problem I know,however, if I'm not making knives or on BF.com, thenI would have to spend time talking with my wife. Soooo, hear I sit hour after hour visiting with new friends, that understand my addiction to knives. The great thing about the fellowship here at the forms is, that we can be our selfs, and be accepted for who and what we are. Even if you miss spell Lynn's name, no one cares, its what you have to say that counts. I for one would not want to walk away and never come back to this form. I find it to be informative, humorous, thought provoking, and above all entertaining.
Keep Posting, where ever you are.

Been to hell and back... that was last month when I lost my net access due to phone problems. I can still remember coming home and staring at my computer the whole night, wondering what's happening over at BFC. It happens too often (everyday) that I sometimes forgot to cook dinner because of it!

Am I addicted? I don't think so..

Just to show you how sick I really am.

Last night, while doing some research for work, I stumble on this site.

But, instead of being there, looking at women, I'm here talking to mostly guys, about knives. There is something definitely wrong here. This is not healthy or normal.

I tried to Help you, but Now you seem to be Sicker and more desperate than Ever. I am sorry. Really. But I don't think there is a cure. Just try to enjoy the fix while you can. And don't ask any more questions. Or answer any either. Especially from your wife. Posting just makes the Hurt and the Wanting all that much worse. So don't. If you Can.

These days I only read the forums when they take my jacket off, because it's too hard working the mouse with my toes, and I can't seem to reach anything when I'm wearing the nice white jacket they brought me here at the institute. They say that it's not good for me to read the forums too much because I keep getting too excited and jumping up and down on the keyboard, and I'm not supposed to do that any more. Then they come get me and tell me it's nap time. They keep wanting me to go look at a really big room where the ceiling is blue and very bright, but they say I can't take my computer there, so I won't go. Now, where's my Jello?

Yes I too am a Bladeforum freak, well a semi-lurker Bladeforum freak as I don't post all that much but addicted nonetheless.
 
Yes, I am an addict. Spend about an hour on the forums every morning before work and maybe half hour every evening after work. Gotta keep up on the latest and keep informed. Great place to spend time.

BF stays always open and I click the refresh button quite often. Actually I read it when most of you are sleeping so I have more time to respond (and correct my English).

Then - the weekend comes - and I always miss the best deals on For sale forum...

I find it convenient to sit here reading about knives, while I'm thinking about knives, while I'm waiting for UPS, while I'm looking through a catalog wondering about what to order next, while I'm exchanging e-mail with other members about knives…Nope no problems here.

I was wondering, and maybe you guys can help; has anyone installed a 'puter in the bathroom? All I have in there are knife magazines and catalogs.

I read all of your vehement Denials about being a knife-a-holic in Jay Maines' thread a few days ago. But Now you seem to be making some progress towards admitting to yourself and all of us here that you (and the rest of us) Do have a Serious Problem. Go back to the knife-a-holics thread and Admit your addiction to knives in general and to the Forums in particular. Silverwing's twelve step program and the ten commandments for knife-a-holics is worth a shot, don't you think? It's just got to be better than ending it all. Once you give it a try, if you Still don't feel better, there is Always the Socratic Treatment. As the Beatles said, "you'll get by with a little help from your friends". And no, they didn't say "Buy". Besides, Silverwing said One of us is God. Maybe you can help me figure out who that Is, even if you don't believe it.

Lucky Dog, Good idea. I move the older computers down the family tree, and then finally out....but now I'll when I get an extra one it should go in the bathroom. Any ideas how to convince the spouse?

The only way I can think of is to win the lottery so my bathroom will then be big enough.....I suggest it is kept away from the tub though.....wouldn't want to short out my network....or anyone...lottery would also make a laptop possible.....then would just need a jack in the wall.....
